It had been about six days. I had managed to amount 3,000 dollars. Six days. 3,000 dollars. I sit on the slave room floor by myself because all the other slaves are out on a break. I soon hear shouting. Quite loudly in fact.
"No, you're not listening to me. Justin, I'm telling you. This wedding needs to be 700,000 dollars. Otherwise it won't be good enough. My friend Coleen spent billions of dollars on her wedding and I need to beat her." Shannon huffs. "I don't even know why you're complaining so much. You're rich aren't you?" She asks.
"Shannon I just don't understand why we have to have such a big wedding Isn't it supposed to be more about two people dedicating themselves to each other? I just want a wedding where it's just the two of us and the vicar on a beach or some place and then to celebrate, we go home and eat pizza." Justin explains. "Justin. No I don't want that it's my wedding." Shannon says.
I open the door to walk out and realise that I've found myself in the middle of the crime scene. I try to walk back in but Shannon stops me.
"Indika. You agreed with me the last time right? I want your opinion again. Would you rather have a wedding that's expensive, or have a wedding that's in secret?" She asks wide eyed.
"Well, master Bieber, I must say I do understand where she's coming from. She's been dreaming of this day since she was a little child and she just wants to do it right. After all, it's the day you two become one, and vow to love each other till death. Forever basically, and she can't be shot at for just wanting to make it a day to remember for the rest of your lives." I shrug.
"Exactly!" Shannon exclaims. Justin rolls his eyes. "That wasn't her question though was it Indika, she asked you, what you would do, how you're wedding, you know possibly with my brother since you two appear to be doing so well, would be." He says looking at me.
"Me?" He nods. "Well sir that's completely different I have no money to my name."
"My brother does. Go on, Indika tell us your dream wedding." He sort of commands.
"Well, I would want it to be, just me, the vicar and the person I'm marrying-"
"My brother. Yes go on." I wondered why he kept stressing on that fact.
"Well, yes most likely your brother. Anyway, I'd want it to be somewhere nice, maybe a beach. I wouldn't want any family or friends there or anything, just the two of us. I wouldn't have an after party either. I'd just go home with the one I love and just order some-"
"Pizza." He says looking into my eyes. "Yes, how did you even know?" I chuckle.
"You told me this when we were together- I mean, pizza is basic so pretty much everybody loves it." He says shrugging it off.
"But Justin, she wants to do that because she doesn't have any money to spend. We do. Come on let's go, Bianca will be here any minute." Shannon says tugging him.
Justin walks with her but turns around and genuinely smiles at me. The first time I've seen that happen in ages and at that moment,
I fell in love all over again.
