I'm nine months pregnant now. I'm about to burst. Justin still doesn't know which is a good thing. I've just stayed in the slaves room.
"Checkmate." I smile looking straight into Mary's eyes. She was one of the slaves who kept me company.
"You're a cheater little one." She laughs shaking her head.
"Am not." I say.
"Are too."
This reminded me of conversations Justin and I used to have. My eyes start to well up as memories come flooding back.
"Indie? You okay?" Mary asks concerned.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. It's just my belly is really aching." I say. This isn't a lie. My belly has been paining me a lot.
"Do you want me to call Mimi?" She asks me getting up.
"No, I'm-" I am interrupted by a shot of pain causing me to scream. Mary runs out to go and get Mimi.
"Indika I think your going to have your baby." Mimi says stressing out.
"Mary, go and call Callum so he can drive us to the hospital!" Mimi shouts. Mary runs to find Callum and he soon appears.
"Lord Jesus." Callum says.
"Come lets go!" He panics slowly helping me down the stairs. We get into his car and drive off.
When we arrive at the hospital the doctors tell us I'm in a very serious state and so I'm rushed off to theatre.
After four hours of labour, my baby boy is born. As I hold my fragile one in my arms a tear rolls down my cheek as I think of how Justin knows nothing. How his own child has just been born and he is unaware and it's all my fault. All my fault. I decide that I'll let him name the child. Obviously without him knowing.
When the doctors see I'm in good condition, they decide to let me go home.
"You've done so well Indika." Callum smiles at me through the car mirror as we drive home.
"Thanks." I smile. I was actually very proud of myself.
"So have you named him yet?" Mimi asks from the passenger seat.
"No, I've decided to let Justin decide." I say shrugging.
"So you're going to tell him?" Mimi asks surprised.
"No, I'm just going to ask names he likes." I say.
"You do realise he will find out someday right?" Mimi questions.
"Yes, someday but today's not that day." I whisper.
We pull up to the house and I get out holding the baby carrier.
"Let me get that for you." Callum smiles taking it out of my hand.
"Thanks." I sigh. I am really tired.
We secretly take him upstairs to the slave room and everybody crowds.
"Congratulations." Patricia says hugging me.
"Thank you." I smile.
"Hey guys I'm gonna get out of here. I haven't seen the outside in ages!" I giggle.
"Make sure you cover that baby bump." Mimi laughs handing me a jacket. My baby bump was indeed still noticeable. I chuckle wrapping the jacket around me.
I walk downstairs in search of Justin. I finally find him outside in the garden sitting on a swing chair.
"Hey." I smile walking towards him.
"Indika? I-i haven't seen you in forever." He gulps.
"Yeah I know right." I laugh.
"I missed you." He says looking deep into my eyes.
"I missed you too Justin." I say looking away.
"Then do it." He says seriously.
"Do what?" I laugh.
"Run away with me."
