"Our wedding day."
Those strong three words kept running through my mind. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised, but it hurt knowing it was true. They were actually going to be together. Forever.

I walk out without thinking twice. I run to the stairs and sit down tears streaming down my face as I think of all the things going wrong in my life. Everything.

"Are you alright?" I hear a voice say taking a seat next to me. I realise it's Jaxon. Justin's brother. "Ever so sorry sir I'll get back to work." I say trying to get up. "No. Don't. Is anything the matter?" He asks genuinely concerned.

"Yes. Everything." I say wiping my tears. "Well, a problem shared, is a problem halved." He smiles rubbing my hand. "It's my, well, my mother. She's dying and I have no money to give her the treatment she needs. She'll die and I'll have to live knowing it was all my fault." I cry. Jaxon frowns.

"How much is it?" He asks. "100,00 dollars." I whisper. "I can help you." He says quietly. "You can? Really? How?" I ask.

"I can give you the money." He starts. "But it comes at a price. A price you'll have to pay."

"I'm willing to do anything, anything to save my mother." I nod. "Well that's great then." He says rubbing his hand up my thigh through my skirt. "You'll have to pay the price."

"Please stop." I say quietly. "Oh I should? So your mother doesn't matter that much then?" He teases. I stay quiet. "Listen, just think about it. Just once a day. I'll give you 500 dollars a day and you'll keep doing it until you've worked up enough money to pay." He smirks.

"You don't have to give me an answer now. Just, if you're up for it. Meet me, tomorrow here at 8 o'clock. He smiles before kissing my cheek and walking away.

"Why are you here." I hear a voice say behind me. I turn to see Shannon with crossed arms.
"Take a hint. He doesn't love you anymore. It's over between you. Leave us alone. I'm not going to let you waltz your way in and take everything from me. Never."

"I'm not here for him." I say quietly. What a lie.

"Then why are you here huh?" She asks.

"Please ma'am you don't understand. I'm in major trouble. I have to pay for the treatment of my mother who's dying and I haven't got 100,00 dollars to my name." I sob.

"And so?" She says unimpressed. "I'm here for help. From somebody anybody." I cry. Suddenly Justin appears.

"You're mothers dying?" He asks with slight concern. I nod my head. "Can you believe her? Coming here to create pity for herself." Shannon tuts. Justin frowns slightly looking at me.

"It's absurd isn't it Justin?" She says. He doesn't reply. "Justin?" She repeats. "What? I mean yes it is. If you're looking for financial help, look elsewhere." He nods.

"Justin please I really need you right now."

"I guess it's just a little too late. You made it very clear how you felt about me a few weeks ago and I am not going to change all of that because of some issue with your mother."

"Justin please I-"

"I'm sorry Indika. I can't help you."
