Chapter Fifteen

"SA living room tayo" Isabel said when she finally found her voice, her decision firm. Sandaling umangat ang tingin sakanya ng kambal at ni Alexander but she just smiled at the kids. Inabot niya ang kamay sa mga ito at awtomatikong hinawakan iyon ng kambal at nagpagiya sakanya papunta sa sala.

She felt Alexander following them, probably wondering what it was that she was planning to do. She suddenly wondered kung kasinlakas din ba ng pintig ng puso niya ng mga oras na yun ang pintig ng puso nito. Kinakabahan rin kaya itong kagaya niya?

Nang marating nila ang living room area ng bahay ay pinaupo niya sa mahabang couch ang kambal, hinanap niya ang remote ng TV and switched it on. Inilagay niya iyon sa paboritong cartoon channel ng kambal na agad na nakapagpangiti sa mga ito.

Isabel knelt in front of them and kissed them both on their cute button noses. Alam niyang nakatingin sakanila si Alexander and was waiting for whatever it was that she was going to do but she took her time and looked at her angels' faces.

The innocence in their eyes was like a strong force telling her that she was making the right decision. Kailangan lang talaga muna niyang makausap si Alexander kahit sandali lang para malaman nito ang mga nasa isip niya bago niya isakatuparan ang desisyon niya.

She heaved a sigh.

"Just watch cartoons for a while angels, alright?" simula niya. "I just... Kailangan lang naming mag-usap" dugtong pa niya.

The twins nodded their heads and with one last sigh and a kiss for both of them, she grabbed Alexander's left arm and practically dragged him to the kitchen.

JUST what the heck is happening?

Nakakunot ang noong sumunod si Alexander kay Isabel habang hila-hila nito ang braso niya papunta sa kusina ng bahay. Sa totoo lang ay hindi na niya maintindihan ang mga nangyayari simula nang pumasok siya sa loob ng bahay kanina.

Last night, all he did was come over to talk to her about the kids, but all of his plans went out the window when he saw what she was wearing. He ended up kissing her and he had no regrets. It actually felt good to acknowledge the sexual tension between them.

It might have been a little late for chivalry after kissing her like a caveman, but he begged her to change into something else. He waited for her and the next thing he knew, he was waking up at past 3am from a deep sleep and realized that he fell asleep on the couch.

Nang mag-angat siya ng tingin ay nakita niya si Isabel na nakaupo at nakatulog na rin sa malapit na single-sitter couch. Napangiti pa siya nang makitang isang oversized shirt at sweat pants ang ipinalit nito sa suot na nighties.

She clearly did not listen to his instruction.

He told her to wear something that would not let him see parts of her that he would want to put his mouth on. Now, what made her think that he would not want to put his mouth on her face, her neck, her arms, her hands and her feet?

'Pagsuotin mo na lang kaya siya ng mantel para matakpan ang buo niyang katawan, you pervert!' a part of him admonished.

Hindi niya alam kung gaano niya katagal na tinitigan ang anyo ni Isabel habang umuulan ang mga katanungan sa kanyang isipan. Kung paano at bakit sila humantong sa ganitong sitwasyon. Kung maibabalik pa ba nila ang dating pinagsamahan.
