Chapter 4

After what happened last night, I woke up and got ready for class.

Once I got my uniform on and washed my face I started at something weird in the mirror. My eyes. They were a crimson red, almost glowing.

I jumped back from the mirror and hit my back against the door, I landed on the floor with a really loud thud. I stumbled up and looked back into the mirror. My eyes were normal now. That's weird. I limped to the door but, before I could open it, someone opened it from the other side.

"Are you alright y/n. I heard a loud noise come from your room." Kaname asked concerned. I was still confused at what I saw before in the mirror. "Y-yeah, I just ran into the door." I tried to act clumsy to shake his suspicion off of me.

"We shouldn't let the others wait any longer." He said as we both started to head downstairs. We met with the other night class students. I walked over to Kou and joined in on the conversation that he, Ayato and Ruki were having, it was strange to me how well they were getting along.

"Morning." I yawned. They all looked at me and smiled. "Morning M-Neko-Chan!" Kou cheered as he pulled me into a tight hug. "You're enthusiastic today," I commented as he released me from his grip.

As the three of us talked for a bit in the common room, we noticed that it was time to head off to class. We exited the moon dorm and proceeded to the gates where there was so much screaming that you can't hear the person next to you. The gates opened and the first thing I saw was Yuki struggling to push the day class girls away.

"You're doing great Yuki!" I called out to her, she seemed like she needed some encouragement. She turned to me and smiled. I looked and felt an evil gaze, come upon me. It was zero, I don't know why he gives me that look all the time.

We proceeded through the screaming fan girls and reached the classroom. Something felt weird in the classroom today. Almost as if everyone could sense something bad.

Our teacher walked in but, it was a different person. All of the vampires gave him a darting glare as he walked in. " good night students. Or should I say, vampires." He said that with such a calm yet hated attitude. "As you already can tell, I'm a vampire hunter."

I looked around and saw all of the night classes faces. They were giving him a look full of hatred. He ignored that and started the lesson. As always I didn't pay attention to the lesson at hand and was drawing in my book. By the end of the lesson, I ended up drawing a very detailed rose.

Since the class was over everyone was leaving, but was too into my drawing to notice someone walking up to me. I continued to draw the rose until I felt someone staring at me. I turned my head and saw Subaru standing at my desk. "Hey Subaru, did you want something." I asked him and closed my book. "how could you believe what that guy is saying." He said that with such sadness. "Did you mean Kaname, why wouldn't I believe him?" I tilted my head to the side in confusion. His glare became harsher when I said that. Subaru slammed his fist against my desk, making me jump in surprise.

"Why don't you remember me? You're y/n Sakamaki. My sister. I'm your older brother, not that Kuran!" He tried to walk off but I grabbed his wrist. "I know that I can't remember but, please don't try and force me to remember. I'm trying to piece the events of my life together." He pulled his arm away and left the classroom. I didn't bother following him and walked to my room.

I walked into the bathroom and turned the water on in the bathtub. I got my uniform off and stepped into the water. It was warm and calming. Just what I needed. I soaked in the water for at least 10 minutes before I got out of the bath, dried myself off and got into my pyjamas.

I walked into the main part of my room and sat on my bed. I stared out of my window for a bit and kept my gaze on the moon. It was brighter than usual tonight. I kept staring for a while until a noticed a silhouette on my balcony. My eyes followed the shadow as it opened the window and walked in. I felt like I couldn't move, my eyes continued to follow towards the persons face.

"Who are you?" I asked the man-like figure. The figure spun around and looked at me. He had long white hair and walked up to my bed. "Why aren't you answering me?" I asked him in a more serious tone. He stopped and glared at me. "So you really don't remember me y/n?" He asked I've been asked that so many times I just gave him the same answer that I gave everyone else.
