Chapter 16

I calmly sat down next to Carla and wondered why and how I got here before I asked him.

"Um, how did I get here?" I asked him softly, trying to make the situation as calm as possible. He didn't respond, he looked like he was thinking about something so I just awkwardly looked down at my hands.

*Kaname's POV*

"What do you mean she's gone!" I yelled at Hanabusa who just told me that y/n was taken. I shot him a glare and he almost screamed from my fearful demeanour.

"How could you just let this happen!" I continued to yell into his ear. He explained how they took her and they disappeared.

"Get the others, we need to see if they know who those two are." I said to him and he ran in the direction I sent the Sakamaki's and Mukami's earlier.

I have no idea if those two know and intend on telling y/n what happened, or something worse. Why did mother and father choose such a difficult life for her, they did it at their own cost but I still don't get it.

*Your POV*

I must have fallen asleep while I was sitting on the seat because I woke up with a blanket on me. Just as I woke up Carla walked into the room with a tray of food. He placed it next to me without saying a word and turned around to leave.

Before he left, I grabbed his wrist, causing him to look at me in surprise. "Why are you treating me so nicely?" I asked him. Ever since I ended up here, Carla has been kind to me which I strangely found confusing.

He let out a sigh, "We want to make sure you can trust us." He said. Before thinking I responded.

"But I do trust you." I have no idea why I said that but he seemed to believe it. His eyes widened and he turned fully to face me. "Are you sure you can trust us?" He said while raising his eyebrow. I felt like I was forced to nod and did so.

When he saw me nod, he stood up and walked out of the room. He came in a few minutes later with Shin walking behind him, as soon as I saw him, he gave me a smirk.

When I saw both of them, I decided to ask them the one thing that was on my mind at the moment. "Can you tell my why I'm here now?" I asked them. Shin looked at Carla and he just nodded before starting.

"We're going to tell you the truth." He said. When he said that, I had to cover my mouth from my laughter almost escaping my mouth.

"What's so funny." Shin said in an annoyed tone. "Sorry, its just that I've been told that so many times and I don't know if I can take you guys seriously or not." I responded with a small chuckle.

"You said you trusted us. We will really tell you what happened that night." Carla said with a saddened voice.

I nodded and saw Shin walking up to me. He kept coming closer until his face was just a few inches away from mine. Shin looked down and his smirk grew wider.

"That's a pretty necklace." He said as he grasped it in his hand, looking at it. I was about to respond but Shin had ripped the necklace right off my neck. "Its a shame we need it." was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

~Memory~

I opened my eyes to see what looked like the house I kept seeing in my memories, my house. I heard a scream come from inside so I ran in to see blood everywhere. I looked across the room to see the younger version of myself in a corner with someone else.

I stepped closer to see what they were talking about. I stopped a few metres away when I recognised the second person. Kaname.

He was hugging me and whispering something into my ear. "It's alright, you won't remember any of this." He was saying over and over again while placing his hand on my head.

He was erasing my memories of what just happened. I turned around to see what had happened and looked to where majority of the blood was.

My eyes widened in shock when I saw my mother and father, dead in a pool of blood. My hand covered my mouth which was wide open when my next thought entered my head.

'Did I do this?'
