Chapter 7

I tried sleeping but I just couldn't get that voice out of my head. After I just stared at a wall for ten minutes I heard small giggling down the hallway.

I got up and walked to my door to try and hear which direction it is coming from. I heard the giggle once more and it was right in front of the door. I slowly opened it, once the door was fully opened it revealed a young girl in a night class uniform, she had long lilac hair, much like Zero's eyes and wore a look of satisfaction.

"Hello there." She giggled. "who are you, are you a new student?" I asked her. She nodded and slipped into my room. "My name is Maria Kurenai, I just got here today. Nice to meet you!" She cheered.

Something felt oddly familiar about her for some reason. I realised that I was just staring at her. "Sorry for not introducing myself, I'm y/n-" She cut me off. "You're y/n Kuran, a pureblood just like lord Kaname right?" She said.

I scratched my head at that, "Well, I'm not really a vampire." I slowly say to her. Her happy expression then changed into a serious one. "I know that my dear, but do you know how to return?" That voice...Is this girl that woman that spoke to me earlier.

"Are you.." I said to Maria. "Not technically, this isn't my body. I'm just using her as a vessel." She was confusing me. "So who are you really?" I asked her. "I'm a pureblood that goes by the name of Shizuka Hiyo. I know some things that can help you out in your....situation." Maria glared at me as soon as she finished that sentence.

"Well, it was nice meeting you y/n. We will meet again soon." She then ran out of my room, leaving me alone and confused. "That can't be that woman from before. Right?" I asked myself and sat back on my bed.

Just when I thought I could relax, I heard a knock on my door. "Excuse me." It was Takuma. I let out a sigh and walked up to the door. I opened it and stared at Takuma. "What is it?" I asked him.

"Have you seen a girl with lilac hair and wearing a night class uniform?" He asked me. I nodded in response. "Yeah I did, she talked to me just a moment ago, why?" I explained to him. "What did she tell you?" He sounded a bit worried. I knew if I told him what she told me, he would get worried about me and I don't want Takuma or anyone else worrying about me.

"She was just excited that she got to talk to a Kuran." I chuckled. "Oh, so she didn't say anything weird to you." Takuma had a suspicious look in his eyes. "She kept asking why I wasn't a vampire, considering the fact that I was born into a family of purebloods and all," I said awkwardly.

He only nodded. "Well, I better run after Maria before she gets into trouble, see you." He ran down the hallway after Maria and I closed the door.

I spent the rest of the night thinking about what exactly Maria knew about me. Does she know that Karlheinz guy, actually, how do I even know what Karlheinz said about me was true.

I was thinking about that for a bit until I grew bored of staying in my room. I got up, put a jacket on and walked out of the moon dorms for a walk. "It's always so quiet here." I hummed to myself and skipped around.

I came to a sudden stop when I saw that teacher from the other day, Mr Yagari, he was carrying a gun around with him. That's a bit strange, even for him.

I walked away from where I saw Yagari and sat under a tree. I stretched out before I leaned up against the tree and looked up at the sky. I was calm for a moment before I heard a big snap above me and something hit my head and fell on top of me.

"ugh, what was that." I tried getting up but something stopped me.

My eyes opened and I saw Yuki laying on me. She must have been on patrol and slipped. "Yuki, do you mind getting off of me. You're heavy." I uttered from underneath her. "I'm sorry y/n, did I hurt you?" She exclaimed and quickly got off of me.

"No, I'm fine. It doesn't look like I got injured-Ow!" I pulled my hand up and saw a big cut on it. I looked over my shoulder and saw a sharp rock where my hand was. that wasn't there before.

"I'm sorry. Here, put this around it." She said, giving me her bow to wrap around my hand. It didn't stop the bleeding, but at least blood wasn't dripping everywhere. Yuki kept apologizing and I kept saying that it was alright. She soon realised how late it was and had to meet up with zero about patrols.

I told her I would be fine on my way back to the dorm. We said goodbye and she ran off. I started to walk back when I felt someone staring at me. I didn't like that feeling so I stepped off of the path and into the trees.

"Are you trying to avoid someone?" A familiar voice spoke. I turned around, "Senri, you scared me." I exclaim. "Why are you walking around alone? And.....why is your hand bleeding?" I darted my eyes back to my hand and I saw that the blood had seeped through the bow. I looked back at Senri to see that his eyes were glowing red.
