Chapter 13

I woke up with a slight headache and no memory of what happened to me. "oh, you're awake." A familiar voice said. I lifted myself off of the couch I was laying on and looked around the room. The room was dark and there was what looked like a person laying down on the bed in the corner of the room. I looked towards the door and saw someone standing there.

When the light from outside of the room came across his face. He looked strangely familiar, but he was wearing a mask. "Zero?" I said quietly.

I heard someone from behind me. I turned my head to see an unfamiliar woman staring at me intimidatingly. She had long, silver hair and beautiful eyes.

"Who are you and how did I get here." She only smirked before responding. "I'm Shizuka Hio." She said with a smile. "Why am I here?" I asked her, tyring to back up a bit.

"You need to give me something, in return for answers." She said slyly as she sat next to me and turned my head to face her.

"After all, I don't see Kaname's body anywhere." she whispered into my ear. My eyes widened when I remembered the other part of the deal. I gulped before speaking up. "what do I have to do, I need to know what happened to me." I said bravely .

"Like I said when we made the deal. You must awaken your true self." she said. "How do I do that?" I said, getting straight to the point.

"be patient." She said with another smile."Things are still being prepared.

I knew exactly what I was getting into when I remained seated. Shizuka got closer to me. "Don't worry my dear, you'll get your answers soon." She said and walked up to the bed with the mysterious figure laying on it.

"After all, you play a big part in this." She said, accompanied by a different voice. It was Maria's. This must have been who Maria was talking about being the vessel for. I just sat there in silence, afraid of what to say.

There was a long silence until a male voice spoke through the silence. "My lady, everything is prepared." he said with a small bow and returned to the side of the room. My stomach twisted at the thought of what was going to happen next.

Shizuka teleported next to me and lifted my chin up with her fingers. "All you have to do is stay calm my dear." She said with a soft chuckle. I gulped and asked her a question. "Why did you need me specifically?"

She smirked and replied, "I needed you because you hold a certain blood that I need to keep myself in this body." And with that she lifted my head up, revealing my neck to her.

I could feel her breath on my neck as she inched her face closer. I did nothing to stop her, knowing that this is what I would have to do for answers.

She inhaled deeply before quickly piercing my neck. I let out a gasp of pain when she did that. I could feel every ounce of blood she took as my energy was drained.

When I was on the verge of passing out, she pulled her head away, showing an obvious trail of blood from her lower lip.

Everything was becoming numb before I knew what happened.

Something was being put into my mouth, a liquid. I moved around out of surprise but only to be held back by that guy from before. I saw Shizuka's eyes right in front of mine as I saw her glowing red eyes pierce right through mine.

I felt I kind of burning sensation in my throat and gasped for air when she pulled away from me. I coughed and stared at her in shock.

"What....did you....do to me." I said between pants as I caught my breath. She only smiled at me with a menacing look in her eyes. "I brought you back to your real life." She said. I looked down at my hands and back up. Everything seemed, different but I couldn't put my finger on it.

*3rd POV*

The night class students were gathered in the foyer of the moon dorms. Kaname was explaining the plan on how to locate y/n. He mentioned not to disturb the day class dorms and to stay clear of them and if necessary to look around.

Once the plan was sorted out, the class members were sorted out into groups. The Sakamaki's were one group and the Mukami's were another and then the elites of the dorm were in a group, directly following their lords orders. The other students were sorted into divisions.

"Okay, lets go and find y/n-" Kaname said but was stopped by an eerie feeling. He smelt something different and yet, so familiar.

"We need to go now." he instructed to the students.
