Starting Over Again [Sequel to The Roommates]

Chapter 5

The next day, I was out of the hospital. "Thank goodness your okay" Luke said "You had us worried sick!" Michael replied "Never do that again" Calum replied while holding my shoulders then all of a sudden pulling me into a hug. "I'm sorry" I said frowning "It's okay. Just don't do that again" Calum replied. Everyone was worried about me except Ashton. He was just sitting on the couch watching tv not caring at all. "I'm gonna go in the kitchen & cook you guys breakfast now" I said "I'll help you" Calum replied "N-No.. it's okay, I can cook myself" I replied "But, I want to help you" he replied.

"Just let Cal help you" Michael said as I looked at Calum & smiled "Okay" I replied. We both walked into the kitchen. I didn't cook anything special. Just pancakes. I called everyone into the kitchen & we all started eating.
Ashton came into the kitchen & suddenly turned around. "Ash, we've been over this. Get your ass in a seat right now" Luke said "No thanks, I'm gonna go to Alexa's" he replied "Come on Ash, Serenity cooked all of this us for us" Michael said "Well, I didn't ask" he replied "When will you ever stop being a-" I cut Cal off "It's okay, just let him go" I replied "Heh. Good, thank you" he replied & laughed while leaving the kitchen.

"Ren, are you really okay Ashton hanging out with Alexa?" Luke asked "Yeah.. I'm okay with it" I replied & smiled. But they all looked at me oddly. It's as if they knew I was lying. The truth is, I'm not okay. I'm not okay with Ashton hanging out with Alexa. I'm not okay with Ashton leaving my side. I'm not okay with Ashton treating me this way. I'm not okay pretending to laugh when I want to cry. I'm not okay fake smiling even though I want to frown. & the worst part of it all is the fact that, I still love him with all of the little pieces of my heart. After we all finished eating we went to the living room & watched a movie.

While we were watching the movie we heard the door open. It was Ashton & Alexa. Alexa looked at me with disgust. "Ugh. Why is she here?" Alexa asked "Probably because I live here?" I replied "And she has an attitude too! How can you guys stand her? I know Ashton can't" she replied. "What attitude?" I said in my head. "Um, hello. You guys! I'm talking to you!" Alexa said to Calum, Luke, & Michael but they just ignored her as if she wasn't standing in front of the door. I laughed on the inside while looking at the television. "Let's go upstairs Ashton" she said grabbing his arm leading him upstairs. When they both went up the three of them talked.

"How can you guys stand her?" Mikey mimicked "How can Ashton stand her?" Mikey asked "I know. Serenity didn't even give her an attitude" Luke replied. An hour later Alexa came down with Ashton. She looked closely at me and said "You don't wear make-up, do you? No wonder you look like a troll" & laughed. I took a deep breath & said, "Nice makeup. Are you-?"
