Starting Over Again [Sequel to The Roommates]

Chapter 7

Calum's POV:

We all woke up. Except Ashton was at Alexa's house. We were all just sitting down in the living room talking. "It's a new year. Why don't you try confessing to her? Or better yet, ask her out?" Mikey asked "Confess to who?" Luke asked with a confused look. "Do you want me to tell him? Or are you-" I cut Mikey off "You tell him" I replied. He sighed. "Okay" he said & looked at Luke. "Calum likes Serenity" he said "Since when?" Luke asked "Since day one" he replied. Luke looked at me & smiled. "Yeah, you should confess to her. Better yet, ask her out" Luke said "Yeah, help her forget about Ashton" Mikey replied "Do you really think she'd forget about Ash?" I asked "With the help of you, yes" Mikey replied.

"Well then, I guess I could try to-" the door opening cut me off. Ashton came in with his hands in his pockets. "Morning guys" he said but we all just stared at him. He closed the door & went to his room. "You could try to what?" Luke asked "Ask/Confess to her after school.." I replied "Yeah! Do you want us to come with you?" Mikey asked "No, I'd rather do it alone" I replied "As you wish" Luke replied. "We should probably get ready now" I said "Yeah" Mikey & Luke replied. We all went to our rooms & got dressed for school. After that Serenity called us into the kitchen.

She said we could eat without her but, we chose to wait. Minutes later she came back. "Hm? Why aren't you guys eating?" she asked with a puzzled look. "We were waiting for you" I said "Aw, that's sweet. But, you guys didn't have too" she replied "We wanted to" Mikey replied & smiled. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's go eat!" Luke said as we all started eating & talking. When Ash got into the kitchen we were all completely silent. I was surprised, he usually eats at Alexa's house. After eating, we all brushed or teeth & left for school. A new year. All of us rarely had classes together. But, we'd be able to see each other every time we pass by. I had one class with Ash. Except, he kept coming to class late because Alexa.

When class was over, I saw Serenity passing by. "Serenity!" I said loudly as she turned & waited for me to catch up. "Yes?" she said "I-I-I need to ask you something after school." I replied "Do you think you could meet me in front of the school by the big tree?" I asked sounding a little nervous. She looked at me oddly then smiled. "Sure!" she said & gave me a big smile. The bell rang. "I gotta go now, see you after school!" she said & smiled while waving back at me as she walked to class. I waved back at her & went to my class too. At lunchtime we all met up. We all sat down on the table that was in the middle of the cafeteria & ate together.

I paid for Serenity's lunch because she forgot her money. "I'll pay you back, after school" she said "No need" I replied & smiled as we both walked to our table & started eating. Ashton & Alexa sat down on their own table. After we all finished eating we started walking around the halls. Hours later, school was over. I walked to the front of the school & saw Serenity waiting for me. I took deep breath & walked up to her. "Oh, there you are" she said "Yeah" I replied "So? What did you want to ask me?" she asked & smiled sweetly as I looked and said, "I was wondering if you'd-"
