Starting Over Again [Sequel to The Roommates]

Chapter 3

"Ren. Ren. Ren!" Someone whispered. I groaned and turned the other way. I didn't want to see or talk to anyone today, it's just been hard. "Ren, I know your awake." The voice said again. He sighed and crawled into the bed with me. He poked my back and said "cuddle?" In a baby voice. Calum. I giggled and turned around to face him. I scooted back a bit cause I didn't want to make him runaway because of morning breath. I rubbed my eyes and spoke, "Good morning. And yes cuddle." I smiled. I turned the other way an d he put his arm over my waist.

"What's wrong Ren?" He spoke. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You've been acting kinda weird since you got home here." He said. "Nothing's really wrong, it's just all new to me again." I said. "Okay If you say so.." He sighed. I nodded and smiled. "Breakfast?" I asked. "Yes! Please! I'm starving!" He said. We walked in to the kitchen together. Calum sat down as I started cooking breakfast for everyone before they woke up. "Need help?" Calum asked "Um, yeah. Could you set up the plates?" I asked "Sure" he replied & took out 5 plates & put it on the table then set up the spoons & forks.

Minutes later Luke & Michael came in. "Mhm! I smell something good!" Luke said & smiled "Wow, first time you complimented my cooking" I laughed "Oh. You cooked it?" he asked "Yeah, who do you think cooked all of this?" I asked "I don't know, Calum probably?" he replied "But, since you cooked it.. I take back what I said" he replied & smirked "Whatever" I laughed & set the food on the table. We were all talking and laughing then Ashton came in. He glanced at me & quickly turned around. Before he could leave Luke said, "Ashton Fletcher Irwin. Get your butt in a seat right now".

Ashton turned around & sighed & sat down on an empty seat next to me. Luke glanced at us. "So, what do you guys want to do today?" Luke asked "Um, how bout laser tag?" Calum suggested "Yeah! Me & Serenity are going to dominate!" Michael replied as I laughed. "If we're playing laser tag, you two aren't going to be in the same team" Luke said "Aw man! Why not?" Michael whined "Because, you two are way too good at laser tag" he replied. Luke & Michael started arguing about the teams. "Whatever, I won't be able to join you guys today" Ashton said "Why?" the three of them said "I'm hanging out with Alexa today" he replied "Again?!" the three of them said in sync "Yes, again" he replied.

Luke sighed. "I can't believe I'm gonna say this.. but.. if Alexa joins us in laser tag, will you go with us?" Luke asked. "You're really gonna allow her to hangout with us?" Ashton asked amused "Yes. But only if you come with us" Luke replied "Ha, okay then" he replied "I'll tell her right now" he added & took out his phone & texted Alexa. 20 minutes later she arrived. She was dressed all fancy. "I'm ready to go" she said & smiled "You know we're going to laser tag & not the ball right?" Calum said & looked away as she gave him an annoyed look. "Don't mind him" Ashton said & held her waist.

"Why now?" I said in my head. "Ready to go?" Luke asked "Yeah!" we all said in sync. Michael drove us. Laser tag was tons of fun! Except Alexa was annoying. She kept saying, "How do you work this thing?" like, were you not listening to the instructor? Jeez. After laser tag we went to the Arcade. I played Dance Dance Revolution with Calum. Except we were both messing around & not trying. Then, I played with Guitar Hero with Luke. "Get ready to lose!" Luke said "You wish, I'm gonna win" I replied "Nuh uh!" he replied. I looked back at Michael & Calum. "Who do you think's gonna win?" I asked "Serenity" they both said as I laughed. "Well, thanks for the support guys" Luke said. We both started playing.

"It's not fair! You're getting the good parts!" Luke complained as I laughed. After that, guess who won? Yup, me! Woohoo! Undefeated! Alexa & Ashton was just sitting down acting all lovey-dovey in the corner of the Arcade. Next, I played Terminator with Michael. Guess who won! Not me! Michael seemed to be really good at this game. After that, we all sat down & talked. We were all laughing & smiling. Until I glanced at Alexa & Ashton. I seemed to have caught them in the wrong time. I felt like crying. Calum looked at me & saw me tearing up. "Ren, are you okay?" he asked with a pitied look. "Yeah, I'm-"
