Starting Over Again [Sequel to The Roommates]

Chapter 9

Calum's POV:

I woke up next to Serenity which was amazing. I looked down at her sleeping adorably and nuzzled into my chest. I just watched her sleep silently as she started to wake up. "Morning sleepyhead" I said & smiled "Good morning" she yawned & started to stretch. We both sat up as she looked around her room. "What time is it?" she asked "It's, 7:15" I replied "Well, I gotta go get our breakfast our ready. Can you wake up the others & tell them to get ready?" she asked "Sure" I replied & started waking up the others. We all quickly got dressed & went into the kitchen. In a split second, Serenity cooked everyone's breakfast. We were all just standing there amazed. "Are you sure you're a human?" Luke asked "Yes, yes I am" she giggled "Well? What are you guys waiting for? Go eat!" she added & smiled while gesturing for us to eat. In a few minutes we gobbled up all of the food.

After we all finished eating, we drove to school. When we made it to school, we just walked around the hallways. I was walking next to Serenity & glanced down at her hand shyly grabbing it. As she looked at me and smiled. Few minutes later, the bell rang. "I gotta get to class, see you later!" Serenity said & smiled. "Wait,"I said & grabbed her arm as she looked back at me "I'll walk you to class" I added "Y-You don't have to.. & I don't want to make you late to-" I cut her off. "It's okay" I said & smiled "Okay.." she replied & smiled as I started walking her to class.

•• Lunchtime ••

I waited for Serenity outside her classroom. Everyone else was already out except her. I peeked inside the classroom but she wasn't there. I went to Luke & Michael & asked if they saw Serenity. "Yeah, she's over there getting lunch" Luke said pointing at the cafeteria. She came over to us. "Where were you?" I asked Serenity "Didn't I text you that I came out of class early?" she asked "N-No.. I didn't get a message" I replied "Oh, well, I did text you. See" she replied & showed me the text message as I checked my phone. "Nope, didn't get a message" I said "Go get lunch, we'll wait for you over there" Serenity replied & pointed at an empty table nearby. "Okay" I said & got lunch as they sat down & waited for me.

When I came back, I saw Serenity, Luke, & Michael smiling & laughing at the same time. I looked at Serenity smiling big which made me smile. It seemed like she hasn't smiled that big ever since she left home. Ever since she left us. I sat down next to her & we all started talking. After school, when we made it to our apartment, me, Luke, Michael, & Serenity were watching an old movie while Ashton stayed in his room. After the movie was over, they all yawned. "Goodnight" they all said & went up to their rooms. Before I went to sleep, I visited Ashton. As I opened the door, a dart almost hit me. "Ever heard of knock first?" Ashton asked with an attitude.

I just ignored his question & entered his room. When I closed the door & entered his room I noticed a picture of Serenity hanging on his dartboard covered with darts. "Are you that upset with Serenity?" I asked "Hm, why would you think that?" he asked & still continuing to throw darts at her picture. "I don't know.. probably because you're throwing darts at Serenity's picture?" I said "I guess you can say that" he replied "What if you hit the actual the one?" I asked "She's my target, what do you think?" he spat. "You know, if you actually do that, she could end up in the hospital again" I said "Like I'm one to care" he replied heartlessly.

Ashton's POV:

"Why are you so upset with Serenity?" Calum asked "It's none of your business" I replied "No, I need to know. Why are you so upset with her that you'd care less if she ended up in the hospital again?" he asked. I just ignored his question & waited for him to leave. "Fine," he said "You don't have to tell me" he added & left my room. The truth is, I would care if she ended up in the hospital again. I did care the first time she was in the hospital. I just, I just thought if I acted like I didn't care about her my feelings for her would've gone away. & all those days she's been gone, ah, those days she's been gone. I was missing her more & more each day she's been gone, that it hurted. But I have to stop these feelings, she's with Calum now. & she's probably even more happier with him than she was with me. I just wish to see her smile everyday.

Serenity's POV:

Before I went to sleep, I looked at the picture me & the boys took few days later after Christmas last year. That was also the day, we all found out Luke was dating Racella. I remembered how it all played out.. "I have your first date planned out" I said "First date? Our first date was at the park" I replied "What? & you didn't tell us!" I replied "Haha, sorry" Luke replied."Oh, hey, we forgot to take a family picture yesterday" Calum said "Oh yeah, let's take one now" I replied "I'll take it for you guys" I replied "No, you're part of our family. We'll just put it automatically" Michael replied "But, I don't feel like taking a picture." I whined. But when the camera was counting down, they dragged me into the picture & it came out blurry so we had to take another one. I missed those days, when everyone was so close. & when my small family didn't fall apart..
