Starting Over Again [Sequel to The Roommates]

Chapter 12

While we were inside eating I saw a person waving their arm around. Which looked like they were trying to ask for help. I looked closely in the water and saw a little boy drowning struggling to swim. "Guys, there's a little boy drowning in the deep end" I said but they didn't pay attention. So I just got up and headed towards the lake. "Serenity, where are you-?" I left before Calum could finish. The boys chased after me. As I got into the water, one of them yelled, "Serenity- don't! You might drown!" But I still went in to save the little boy. As I walked to the deep end I started to sink. But my eyes were still open so I looked around for the little boy & finally found him. He was slowly sinking. I swam to him and as I reached to him I began to swim back to the beach. I felt myself let out a little breath which means I lost a little oxygen which made me swim faster back towards the beach.

Calum's POV:

"Do you think she's gonna be okay?" Mikey asked "I don't know.. She probably doesn't-" Luke cut me off "Look! She's over there!" Luke yelled pointing at Serenity carrying the little boy back to the beach. We ran up towards the water as she sat the little boy down in the sand and he started coughing out water. A woman that looked like his Mother thanked Serenity as she smiled and said, "No problem". She kneeled down in front of the little boy. "Be careful next time, okay? Don't go to the deep end" she said with a concerned look as the little boy smiled and nodded. "Thanks for saving me" the little boy smiled "No problem" she replied & smiled as she walked towards us.

"Good job" Mikey said and smiled "Haha, thanks" she replied and gave him a small smile back. "You did great out there" I said "Thanks" she replied & smiled. We were all pretty much praising her. After we finished eating, we started making sandcastles. Me & Serenity, Ashton & Michael, and Luke & Racella. And yes, it was a competition. Me & Serenity won. Haha. It seems Serenity knows how to do A LOT of things. She knows how to do other things, then well play video games. After the beach, we went back to our apartment, showered, and changed into our pajamas.

Serenity's POV:

I took a quick shower, dried my hair, then got dressed. I sat down in front of my mirror, grabbed my brush and started brushing my hair. After that, I laid down in my bed, pulled my blanket over me and tried going to sleep. But, before I was able to go to sleep I heard someone slowly opening my door. I sat up and stared at the door as I saw..
