Light streams through the window and wakes me up. Mare is wrapped tight in my arms and sleeping soundly. I kiss her hair and smile at the memories of last night. I can't remember a time when I was happier or more in love.
She shifts slightly and then rolls over. She opens her eyes and smiles at me. I kiss the top of her nose and she laughs.
"Good morning," I say.
She yawns and responds, "I didn't sleep very much last night, thanks to you."
"Well, I don't think you'll be getting much sleep for a while," I say with a smirk.
"I value my sleep, Tiberius Calore," she says.
"I'm sure you'll get over it," I says and shower her in kisses.
She laughs and hits me with a pillow. "Get up, lazy. Everyone is waiting on us."
I hold her and say, "I'm not letting you go anywhere."
She looks into my eyes and puts a hand on my shoulder. I feel a light shock go through my body next.
"Hey!" I say and she jumps out of the bed.
She smirks and closes the door to the bathroom behind her. I roll my eyes at her antics and flip back against the pillow. It's hard to believe that after all this time she's finally mine. Maven can't take her from me now. We are one in every way.
