I turned on the bathroom lights and grabbed a washcloth.
"You know I can, uh, wash this off myself," J.D said, looking around the bathroom as I ran the cloth under warm water.
"Yeah, well you also thought you could kick my ass in a Nerf gun fight and we all know how that turned out," I chuckled, pushing on his shoulders so he sat on the toilet seat.
"Yeah I guess so," he replied, staring at my mouth as I wiped paint off his cheek.
As I finished wiping off J.D's face, he leaned up slightly and kissed me. Both his hands grabbed at my hips lightly, and he pulled me onto his lap. When he pulled away, he rubbed his nose against mine and slid a hand under my shirt.
"Sorry," he mumbled against my mouth, still holding my sides. He kissed me again, gently this time, and smiled into it. "It's been awhile."
I pushed my forehead against his and smiled softly, pecking his lips before examining his face.
"Looks like you've been de-blued," I concluded. "Just wash your hands while I get this stuff off my forehead." I patted his chest and stood up.
J.D did as I told him, and then wrapped his arms around me from behind.
"Why are you so touchy, huh?" I chuckled, and he put his chin on my shoulder.
"It's been awhile," he mumbled again, pulling at his trench coat that was still draped around me.
I let it fall to the floor, now standing it a yellow scoop-neck and jeans. J.D flicked his bottom lip with his tongue and spun me to face him.
"What d'ya wanna watch?" he asked wrapping his arms around my waist and swaying me slightly.
"I don't really care," I replied. "You can choose."
J.D hummed in agreement, sneaking his head around to kiss my jaw. Before he could get to it, I spun out of his grip and pulled him to the couch by the wrist.
"My coat, Rach," he said.
"You can get it after," I whined. "I don't know what time Veronica and Scott will be back."
"Oh I see," J.D smirked. "You have something  in mind?"
"You wish," I laughed, nudging him in the chest.
J.D laughed and fell back onto the couch, bringing me down with him. I laid on top of him and nuzzled my head into his chest. It was nice to be cuddled up to him again.
"You make me feel safe," I mumbled as J.D ran a hand up and down my back.
He hummed softly and kissed the top of my head.
"You make me feel like a pile of mush," J.D mumbled and I laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked, pushing myself up and sitting by his feet.
"It means," J.D started, sitting up as well, "it looks like you're my only weakness."
"Damn right I am," I huffed, and he pulled me into his side.
"Movie or sitcom?" he asked, picking up the remote as I curled myself into a little ball against him.
"Sitcom," I said quietly, pulling a throw blanket over the both of us. "And subtitles, I don't want the TV too loud, but I'd also like to know what's going on."
"Mmhm," J.D hummed, flicking through the channels and putting an arm over my shoulder.
We settled on Full House, cuddled together on the couch. J.D, without his coat, was in a light green flannel on top of a white, fitted tank top.
"Are you sure this is the right choice?" I mumbled quietly, looking up at J.D.
J.D took my hand in his and pressed it against my heart. I felt it beating fast, and he looked down at me.
"You tell me?" he whispered, his voice soft and raspy.
A smile spreading across my face, I cupped his jaw in my hands and pulled him down to kiss me.
