Jamie's POV
It was around Mr. Gunther's class, my fifth period, when I received an unknown number send me a text. Megan had looked over at me when my the screen from my phone lit my features.
"Fuck this 'TBH' thing," I whispered over to Megan. I kept my voice quiet from Mr. Gunther who thought we were working on our class assignment together, but in reality we would sneakily sneak out our phones and laugh over the few 'TBH' texts we've gotten since this morning.
So, to be exact, the seniors decided since we were to graduate in four months that it would be a great thing to start this 'TBH' thing. Basically random people text you and tell you something they like about you.
"Aren't you going to see who texted you?" Megan asked, with her cherry lollipop hanging from her mouth.
I waved her off. "Nah, I'm getting tired of my phone going off from stupid guys complimenting my ass."
"Whatever, don't flaunt yourself though, all I get is people saying nice things about how cool my hair is." I stared at Megan's green hair, running my hand through her waves, but she swatted my hand away.
I chuckled and glanced down at my phone, I quickly tapped the new message and opened the fresh new message.
Unknown: Tbh Jamie, you are annoying and i guess your hot, but your still vv annoying, like rEALLY ANNOYING. but ur hot, yip, bUT U ARE IGNORANT AND SOMETIMES YOU NEEDA STOP BEING A BETCH -yours sincerely, tyler joseph
I read over it about fives times before biting my lip to keep from bursting into laughter. I was quite fed up with all these fake text messages telling me how nice and caring I was. I hovered my fingers over the keyboard before quickly typing my response to the outrageous message.
Me: fuck off Tyler.
I set my phone down and looked up to see Megan already staring at me.
"Who texted?" She nodded over to the phone.
I rolled my eyes. "Tyler Joseph."
Megan's eyes widened immediately as the name left my lips. She leaned forward suddenly interested. "Shut the fuck up! The hot basketball player?!"
"Yeah."
"Jamie what did he say?!"
I shrugged it off. "He said something about me being annoying."
Megan leaned back into her chair. "Oh, what an asshole. I always found him annoying as well to be honest."
I quietly laughed as her very own 'TBH' left her mouth. She went back to writing down the notes from the history book. I picked my pencil up to do the same, but soon retracted when my phone vibrated. I opened the new message from Tyler that was received.
Unknown: no, you fuck off
Me: stop texting me then
Dumbass: nO

Dumbass: u dont even kno me so u cant call me immature
