Part 7

After Percy and Annabeth had calmed down,we all talked about current things. When we were finished,Ethan got up and walked out the back door. I followed him.

He was leaning against the railing,looking at the beautiful night sky. He glanced over and said,

"Hey,so a lot has happened since the last time we saw each other." He sighed and looked down at his sneakers. I put my hand on his.

"It'll be fine. What could go wrong?" He beamed at me with his multi colored eyes.He looked relieved to hear that.

"Well you might need some help for this trip so we are all coming. We will defeat whatever this is." I sighed. At least my friends were coming too so I didn't have to do this alone.

Addison opened the door and told us we needed to come inside. Ethan held the door for me and we walked into the kitchen,where everyone was. Percy gave Ethan a look that said perfectly stay away from my daughter. Ethan looked nervous. I quickly spoke to change the subject.

"So you all are coming with us?"

Piper nodded.

"Then we'll need supplies." Annabeth mentioned. Everyone agreed,expect Nico. Which was super weird,nothing like him. I was so worried about him.

"Well there's a store for food and clothes and we can provide weapons and Pegasi." Jason mentioned.

"Great,Rael,Addison,Ethan and I can go to the store and get food and supplies. You guys talk to Renya and get weapons and Pegasi."I said.

The parents looked uneasy but they agreed as long as we took some sort of weapons. Rael took her bow. The boys took swords and I stuck with my knife. My parents hugged me and told me to stay safe. Percy turned to Ethan.

"Be good and I will hear everything when you guys get back so keep it in check."

On the way there,we ran into Frank and Hazel,Rael's parents. We quickly explained everything and told them to meet Jason and Piper and the rest who were heading to talk to Renya. Hazel hugged Rael and Frank told her to be safe. We made our way out of the camp and found the store. The front of the store read MSAS. Or that's what I thought it said. Like my parents,I have some dyslexia. I think it might be a name from a popular TV show about monsters and demons.
Something natural being super I think it is. Anyway,we walked in and grabbed a cart. There were many mortals walking and buying things. Rael took the cart and told us to stick together. Wow,ok mom. We walked side by side and almost immediately I ran into a display of DVDs and fell over. I stood up and said

"I attacked the floor I'm very talented.Not a word to anyone about that." Addison snickered. I slapped him and told him to shut up. Ethan rolled his eyes at Addison and said "Let's just go."

*Madelyn POV*

Madelyn Greenwood was going to the SAMS like every Tuesday. She grabbed a cart and started shopping. Something was off in the store this time though. She glanced at four teenagers in the next aisle. They looked pretty strange to be in a normal store. They had wait.....was that a bow and arrow and swords? She tensed up. That was screwed up. She kept walking and tried hard not to stare. But then something really crazy happened.

*K.C. POV*

I thought we could just get supplies in peace. Nope,like that was going to happen. An explosion burst into the store setting the aisle on fire. Mortals screamed and ran for cover. I looked at my friends. They had their weapons ready and were looking terrified. I bet this was their first battle but this was my first battle too. So I didn't blame them for being scared. Shadow demons about seven came through the flaming hole. They had dragon like wings,sharp red fangs,and they were targeting us. I yelled, "Split up! Help mortals out! Fight them,we can do this!" Everybody looked at me nervously. Ethan screamed, "Addison come with me! Rael,stay with K.C." They took off running,shouting at the monsters. Rael and I did the same.

*Madelyn POV*
Madelyn was scared. A random hole had been blown in the side of the store. She forgot about the groceries. She ran but it wasn't easy. Everybody was bolting for the exits. They didn't seem to notice the four teenagers had weapons and were fighting the shadowy demons. An old woman came up to her.

"Honey,we need to go now!" She grabbed her. Madelyn pulled away. The woman turned away and Madelyn couldn't help but notice red teeth in the woman mouth. Madelyn inhaled sharply. This was beyond weird. She began looking for a fire extinguisher.

She ran through the aisles looking,but no luck. After a while,she found it. But it was behind a wall of glass. She tried breaking it with her hand. Pain shot up her arm. Nope. She decided to take off her sneaker and she slammed
the barrier. It shattered. She avoided the pieces of glass flying around her.Madelyn snatched the red cylinder and took off running toward the burning hole.She knocked over boxes and displays as she went. She had to save as many people as she could.

*K.C. POV*

Fighting for the first time was extremely difficult for everyone. Rael was going through arrows like crazy. The two brothers were looking tired from swinging the swords multiple times. But I had to focus on the task at hand. The shadowy demons started shooting fire from their hands,I guess you would call them.

I deflected a few flames with my blade but the knife was too small. I needed something bigger. I looked around desperately for anything I could use. Suddenly,a red headed girl popped out of nowhere with a fire extinguisher. Her green eyes were full of fear.

"Could this help with the fire?"

She asked me.

I nodded. She ran bravely into the crossfire. She sprayed the foamy substance on everything. My friends,screaming mortals,groceries we covered in white. I guess the demons didn't like the stuff because I couldn't see them anywhere. I turned to the girl.

"What's your name?"

"Madelyn Greenwood. Yours? What just happened?"

"I honestly don't know but I do know they wouldn't be gone long. Oh,I'm K.C. Jackson by the way." She looked at me with curiosity. "Jackson huh? Who are your parents?"

"Percy and Annabeth Jackson."I replied. Her eyes got as wide as saucers. She stared at me,jaw dropped. I had no idea why she was surprised.
