*Madelyn POV*

They knew. They saw right through her pathetic lies. Just as she ran away from Taylor, she knew the woman would to tell the others. Then they would find K.C. and destroyed her they are going to be so mad. And she couldn't do a single thing about it.

*Percy POV*

Now I was getting really nervous about my daughter. She hasn't come back in a while and the sun was starting to sink below the surface. I also knew Madelyn was in on this somehow. And if Sam was here, he would of helped too.

"Come on, Percy. Let's just hope she's back before sunrise."

It was Annabeth, wanting me to stop searching. But I couldn't stop. My daughter was out there, unprotected in Queens. Grover needed to prove he could get K.C. home and keep Ash asleep. Sleep won in this war, however. Slowly nodded, Annabeth grabbed my hand and we walked back to the cabins.

Pain. That's all the dream was. Maybe it was a memory. It was a place covered in red rocks and black sand. I was chained to them, screaming for Annabeth. She was currently being whipped by one of the monsters loyal to Gaea. Screaming at every crack at the leather. I was struggling to get her so hard, my wrists were raw and bloody from pulling against.

"So you'd rather be with the gods, then join our mother Gaea?"

"We'll never join you!" I spat.

"What if something were to happen to your precious Annabeth?" The monster cooed, obviously to annoy me.

Quivering but not showing it, I said bravely (I think),

"Whip me, just not her."

"As you wish."

I willingly turned and was hit repeatedly on the back. Now it was Annabeth's turn to scream out for Percy.

Then the monster turned from me, who didn't cry out once for the sake of Annabeth, to her.

"If you're so respectful to the gods, why don't you show your respect for them?"

The horrible thing pulled on a 10 inch knife, cutting a owl into Annabeth's cheek. Crying from the pain, he turned to me, cutting a trident in mine. I was in more pain when Annabeth was, not when I was.

Walking away, sneering, the monster fired back,

"Look who's trapped now." Only guessing that was one of the monsters we showed up in the mortal world, I groaned from the heartache of Annabeth being in pain.

I sharply awoke, remembering the horrors of Tartarus.(No joke sorry). Annabeth woke too, drenched in sweat.

"Percy, are you okay? I heard....I saw....." Not even asking permission, I kissed her, just to make sure she was real, not some illusion Manasseh cast. Then, I touched my cheek. I'd almost forgot that trident was there. Too worried about K.C. and surviving, I guess.

"What did you see, Seaweed Brain, to make you kiss me?"

I swallowed, not wanting to say what I'd experienced in my dream and memory.

"It's fine, go back to sleep."

"No, it's not. Tell me."

"Whipping.....had to get him to stop........trident." I mumbled, trying to get my thoughts in order.

"I-I had the same dream, Percy. It's okay, really. I-"

"It's not okay, Annabeth. It's just-not. It will never go away. We barely made it out of there, but the horrors still remain. I can't, can't-"
