Chapter 17

*Madelyn POV*

She didn't think she would have the chance to meet the Grover Underwood. But she did, after he and K.C. came out of the hospital room, laughing uncontrollably.

"It's nice to meet you ma'am, How long have you known you're a demigod?"

"About 12 days I believe? I'm just along for the ride. "

"Are you afraid of this force?"

She smiled, replying, "The only thing to fear itself."

"Nicely put, Ms. Greenwood. Now, do you want to surprise Percy even more than he already is?" She grinned, deviously.

"I love pranks. I'm in."

Grover played a note on his reed pipes. A person appeared from the trees. It was a female, with hot cocoa brown hair. She was tall, and had crystal blue eyes.

"Ms. Madelyn, meet Taylor Jackson. Percy's little sister. a second figure also came into view.

"And his mom, of course."

"Grandma Sally! Aunt Taylor!" K.C. shrieked like a little kid, running toward them.

"Katie! How are you? Where's Percy? I can't wait to see his reaction."

"Hi, honey, where is my son?"

K.C. grabbed both their arms, pulling them toward the hospital. Madelyn hoped they didn't get the wrong idea about being dragged to the infirmary.

*K.C. POV*

I couldn't believe Aunt Taylor and Grandma Sally was here.

"Why are you guys here? It's unbelievable!"

My aunt smiled. "We have nothing if not belief. And Grover contacted us. We also brought....I mean umm, Percy's mom."

Taylor got the look Percy gets when he's hiding something. What could she possibly be hiding? Grover looked back at the trees.

"Um, you guys go ahead. I have something to take care of. Go on."

Okay. Now Grover is acting weird. Taylor also said something about bringing someone else along. Who could it be?

"But Uncle Grover-"

"Just trust me, kid. You will know soon enough. Now back off, I'll be fine."

My grandma looked at me. "No. Absolutely not. That's the same look Percy gets when he has an idea. Whatever you're thinking, stop thinking it. I'm serious, honey. Don't do anything Percy would do."

She knew me so well. I would lay low until I got a chance to slip away and find out what was going on.

*Percy POV*

Walking out of the room chuckling, I saw some unexpected visitors. Annabeth came out of another room and joined me as well. It was my mom and my sister Taylor. I hadn't seen them in so long. Especially Taylor.

"Oh, great! It's you." I joked to my little sister.

"Look out!" K.C. warned, as Taylor collapsed onto her brother.

"Incoming!" Annabeth shouted as Percy's mom did the same.

"Heads up!"Madelyn also commented as K.C. ran past. Annabeth and Madelyn were also forced join the huge group hug. Once they all calmed down, I asked,

"What in all of Olympus are you doing here?"

"Well, we were brought here against our will so....point is, Grover told us he wanted to surprise you with him returning and us coming. K.C. here, also took us to you as fast as she could." I grabbed K.C. in a hug and ruffled her hair. "Well, thanks Squirt. Where's Grover?" Taylor mouthed to me so no one could see. 'Ash' she "said". Oh, yeah. I couldn't let K.C. find out about her other sister.
