I didn't even like you that much to be honest. Like, wtf with releasing that stuff on Clinton's emails when it wasn't yet a conclusive report? But that's all behind me now (along with the rest of my 2016 memories...)
Sure, I didn't necessarily like you, but at least you were there to be a neutral force in DC, just doin' your service to the American people without taking a clear political side. You stood between the Trump administration and a dictatorship (because god knows that this particular Congress isn't gonna do shit. Vote in the 2018 elections, people!).
But yeah. With you being fired, it feels like we're one step closer to actually being a totalitarian state. You release info to the public that's outside of protocol, but it benefitted Trump in the election, so good on you! But, as soon as you try to get resources to investigate his administration, you're outta there. Fired. Gone. Leaving the future FBI director terrified of doing something that might anger Trump.
Lol, America, the land of the free, right? We're the best democracy! Our leader gets rid of everyone who disagrees with him, discredits the media and reporting so that the people rely solely on him for news, and gives government positions to friends and family!
Because you know what they say: you can't have a truly democratic government without censorship and nepotism!
