Alex's POV
I had just been cleared to leave the hospital. I still couldn't walk that well without being in pain so the hospital lent me a wheelchair for now.

I hated it when I first saw it because it reminded me of the one my mom was in during her last days. But I've grown used to it at this point.

John drove me back, we didn't say much. I just studied his face, his beautiful freckled face. He had perfect cheek bones and hazel green eyes. He smiled his eyes still on the road. "Quit staring at me will you" John smirked

Eventually they were back at the dorm, I hadn't seen it for a week and everything seemed weirdly foreign even though it hadn't been that long. John wheeled me over to my bed. I flopped onto it and rolled onto my back.

I felt a searing pain in my chest, I cried out in pain and John rushed over to me. I curled up and he snuggled next to me, he acted as the big spoon carefully putting his arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. I winced but it felt better nusseld against John's chest. We lay there for a long time in peace before drifting off to sleep.

Sorry this was so short it was sort of just a filler chapter to establish that Alex is home
