David had convinced Karissa to stay the night at Elmhurst Estate.

"Do you have to return  to Madame's Boarding house tonight Karissa?" David asks.

"I don't have to but you know Madame will worry about me David." Karissa explains.

"I will send my courier over to Madame's with a letter and it will say that you are staying at Elmhurst for the evening." David tells Karissa.

"Do you really stay David?" Karissa asks.

"This Estate is so dreary and bleak Karissa. I hate it really I would sell but it has been in my family for at least two hundred years. It will go to our first born child." David explains.

"When my mother alive. This Estate was full of happiness and joy. She was so much like you is so many ways. She loved to sing and dance." David explains, "My father was a much to be desired."

"My father didn't love to sing and dance. He never threw balls, dances, but my mother loved to dance and sing and she would invited her guests over and they would listen to her sing." David tells Karissa.

"I will stay tonight only David. Please don't ask me to stay indefinitely." Karissa asks.

"I will honour your request, but of course I will continue to ask you remain here with me. I will see that you get everything that you need." David  tells Karissa.

"I don't need much David. I have many dresses, shoes, and personal affects." Karissa replies, "All I need is a garden, and my music, singing, and dancing to make me happy."

"I will give you my late mother's garden and I know that she would want you to have it." David replies, "She told me that I would meet the girl of my dreams and that you would fulfill my every wish."

"Please don't place me on a pedestal David, I am not a Goddess or am I a God. I am not even worthy to be called a Saint." Karissa replies, "I am merely a human being with frailties, faults, and imperfections."

"I don't mean to place you on a pedestal Karissa, but my late mother told me that you would come  and you have." David replies, "Was she wrong?"

"I don't David they say  that there is someone for everyone out there if we just keeping looking." Karissa answers.

"I almost gave up hope and I was about to remain a bachelor until you arrived on Star Base 12." David explains.

"I would have never given up because without hope we are doomed." Karissa tells David.

"How do you think I felt when Roy died on me?" Karissa asks David.

"I have never lost anyone but my late mother that I loved very much Karissa." David tells Karissa.

"Let me tell you that my heart almost fell out of my chest. I saw him take his last breathe and he went limp." Karissa replies, "My heart was broken and I lost all feeling to love."

"I would sing that song by the Late Karen Carpenter, "I Will Never Fall Love Again" Karissa tells David.

"What are the lyrics to the song Karissa?" David asks. "Please sing it for me."

What do you get when you fall in love?

A guy with a pin to burst your bubble
That's what you get for all your trouble.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.

What do you get when you kiss a guy?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia.
After you do, he'll never phone you.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.
