Karissa: A Star Trek Romance Novel Chapter 18: Stay with Me Karissa

Karissa was a very alluring, but she was determined to have her way but Lord David was cunning as well as handsome.

"Please Karissa, stay with me." David whispers.

"Why do we have to go through this all the time David?" Karissa asks.

"I want you to live here with me at Elmhurst Estate. You know that you really want to? David whispers.

"What will I receive if I agree?" Karissa asks

"Anything  your heart desires Karissa." David promises.

"Anything David?" Karissa asks.

"I said anything Karissa." David whispers.

"May I have your soul." Karissa asks.

"Are you serious Karissa?" David asks her.

"Absolutely David. I am a Femme Fatale." Karissa whispers.

"I don't believe a word that you are saying Karissa." David tells her.

"I really don't care what you believe or not." Karissa answer.

"I want your soul." Karissa states,. "Just think about this David Beck that if I am carrying our child. The child is mine since we are not married." 

"What are you saying Karissa?" David asks.

"Figure it out for yourself David. " Karissa says with a laugh.

"You were so willing to give me a child, and I accepted." Karissa stated, "Now we wait until we find out for sure." 

"You promised me that you would marry me Karissa." David tells Karissa.

"It is a woman's prerogative to change her mind." Karissa answers, "I am a woman."

"I won't you get out of the promise Karissa." David starts.

"I am not a pawn in your marriage and I told you that David." Karissa replies.

"I know that you are not a pawn in the marriage game, but if you are pregnant you are carrying my heir or heiress." David replies.

"My marriage promise is only good if I have a daughter." Karissa answers, "I did not agree to marry if the child proves to be a son." 

"What Karissa, are you telling me that you would not love our son?" David asks.

"Don't put words in my mouth David." Karissa replies.

"I would our son, but he is not goal right now." Karissa states, "My daughter is my goal."

"You better pray hard that you have given me a daughter." Karissa states, "I will remain  with you if the child is a son, and after a spell of time  once I am fully recovered we try again for a daughter." 

"I will hire a nanny to take care of our son and you may name him whatever you want." Karissa replies.

"I can't believe that you would abandon our child if it is a boy Karissa?" David states.

"I did not say that David, I said I would remain but I would hire a nanny." Karissa answers.

"I can't believe what I am hearing from you Karissa. You are telling me if the child is a son that you want nothing to do with him." David asks.

"I am sorry David if I seem so cold about having a male child, but my goal is a daughter." Karissa explains, "I have dreamed all of my life in having a baby daughter." 

"I have planned out her name and I want to spend every minute with her." Karissa answers.

"What about our marriage Karissa? Are you planning to neglect me too?"  David replies.
