Chapter XXVIII

Hazel’s Point of View

 Marie and I were going around looking for apartment today. Chresanto already left for the tour, I miss him already. I was just ready for school to start so I get my degree. I walked out of the bathroom to my bedroom. I sat down and rubbed on Cherry Blossom fragrance scented lotion. I got up and walked into my closet. I slipped on red galaxy cloud tee shirt, high waist cutoff denim shorts, with Stealth Air Jordan III. I got up and walked into my bathroom.

 I brushed my hair back and put it into a ponytail. I walked out of my bathroom to my bedroom. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs. Adrian was running around the house with his favorite stuffed animal, Max. I opened the door and walked out, closing it behind myself. I walked out to the garage and got into my Audi. I put the key into the ignition and pulled off. I turned the radio up slightly and FM$ by New Boyz was playing.

 I pulled up to Jas’mariee house and honked the horn. She walked out of the house to the passenger side of my car. She got in and I pulled off.

 ‘’I can’t believe we are looking for apartments.’’ She said.

 ‘’Yeah, we’re getting old.’’ I said smiling. I pulled up to this apartment that was for sale. Our agent, Miranda was standing waiting for us. I took the key out of the ignition and got out of the car.

 ‘’Goodmorning ladies, let’s get started.’’ Miranda said. She opened the door to the apartment. I have to attend I was impressed.

 ‘’Well ladies, this apartment is a two bedroom and two bath. It has linen closet for your towels. Rent is 650 a month.’’ She said. I walked around and looked in the kitchen. I can’t feel myself in this apartment.

 ‘’Is there anymore in this area?’’ I asked.

 ‘’Yes, there are actually a couple of apartments and townhouses in the area. I know you are going to UCLA, these places are near the school.’’ She said. I nodded and walked out of the door. I walked to my car and got in. Marie got in and I pulled off.

 ‘’We need to find a place, I know my dad will help me with the payments.’’ Marie said.

 ‘’Oh, yeah. My dad can help too, he doesn’t mind.’’ I said. I turned around the corner and stopped behind Miranda. I took the key out of the ignition and got out.

 ‘’Well ladies, we are here in Rodeo Drive. This place is a two bedroom with three bath. There is also a backyard.’’ She said. We walked in and immediately I was turned off. Jas’mariee looked at me with big eyes. I don’t think the rest of the tour isn’t gonna be cool with us.

 ‘’Miranda, I wanted somewhere with a modern touch.’’ I said.

 ‘’I have the perfect place.’’ She said. We walked out of the house to our cars. I got in and put the key into the ignition. I pulled off and my phone buzzed.

 ‘’Marie, get it for me.’’ I said. She grabbed it out of the armrest and answered it.

 ‘’It’s Chresanto.’’ She said.

 ‘’Put it on speaker.’’ I said. She pushed speaker and I heard Princeton’s loud ass in the background.

 ‘’Hey baby.’’ Chresanto said.

 ‘’Hey, what’s up?’’ I asked.

 ‘’Nothing much, how is the search going?’’ He asked.

 ‘’It’s going okay I guess. How is the tour?’’ I asked.

 ‘'It’s great, we’ll be in LA in about a month or two.’’ He said.

 ‘’Alright, I miss you Romelo.’’ I said.

 ‘’Nikole, call me by my real name.’’ He said.

 ‘’Call me by my real name then.’’ I said.

 ‘’I got to get back to practicing. Love you.’’ He said.

 ‘’I love you too, Chresanto.’’ I said. Jas’mariee ended the call and I stopped the car. This was a building. We got out and walked inside.

 ‘’This is Kentwood Condos. It’s 25 minutes from UCLA. It’s a three bedroom, two bath. It does have a sun deck, pool and spa, BBQ grilling area, rooftop lounge, with a fireplace. It is 750 a month.’’ She said. She opened the door and I was blown away.

 ‘’Marie this is the one.’’ I said smiling. I got out my phone and started taking pictures.

 ‘’I love it.’’ I said walking to the kitchen.

 ‘’Follow me to the master bedroom.’’ She said. We followed her to this beautiful room. It was painted white and there was two huge closets.

 ‘’Are these walk in?’’ I asked.

 ‘’Yes ma’am.’’ She said.

 ‘’Wow, this house is truly beautiful. I want it.’’ I said.

 ‘’Okay, come down to my office in the morning so we can get these contacts signed and get you into your new condo.’’ She said.

 ‘’Thank you, could I maybe show my parents this house?’’ I asked.

 ‘’Yes, just have them come down to the office tomorrow.’’ She said.

 ‘’Okay, thank you for your time. I’ll see you tomorrow morning at 10.’’ I said. We walked out of the room to the door. I walked out of the building to the car. I squealed and got into the car. Marie got in and squealed.

 ‘’We are about to be i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t.’’ She said.

 ‘’Yes, boo.’’ I said.

 ‘’I can’t wait.’’ She said.

 ‘’I know, my mom is still getting on me about Chresanto. We’ve been dating for about three years now.’’ I said.

 ‘’I know, Princeton is so incredible.’’ She said.

 ‘’Our boys are so special, I love him.’’ I said.

 ‘’I know.’’ She said. I can’t wait till’ Chresanto and I have kids and be married. That won’t happen for another five years.
