Chapter XXXVIII

Hazel’s Point of View

 My students and I were outside during our recess time. My assistant, Jacelyn was sitting down with me.

 ‘’Hazel, how are you and Chresanto?’’ She asked.

 ‘’Great, he’s really showing me that romantic side of him.’’ I said. She nodded, looking off at our class. I looked down at my nails. I’m turning 21 in one week. Chresanto, Prince, Jas’mariee and I are going to Florida in celebration of my birthday.  ‘’Come on everyone!’’ I shouted. They all lined up in front of me. We walked inside to my classroom.

 ‘’It’s naptime.’’ Jacelyn announced. The students got into their locations then fell asleep. ‘’I’m going out for lunch, will you good with all of them?’’ She asked.

 ‘’Yes Jacelyn.’’ I said. She smiled, walking out of the room. I sat down at my desk on my phone. Hands covered over my eyes.

 ‘’Guess who?’’ Someone asked.

 ‘’Channing Tatum?’’ I asked.

 ‘’Girl, it’s yo’ boyfriend.’’ Chresanto said. I turned around pecking his lips.

 ‘’Hey babe, why are you here?’’ I asked.

 ‘’I wanted to see you, while the kids are napping.’’ He said kissing my neck softly.

 ‘’Chresanto, stop. Wait till we get home. Did you bring lunch or nah?’’ I asked. He sat down a tray from Cook Out. ‘’I love you so much.’’ I said pecking his lips.

 ‘’Of course you love your papi chulo.’’ He said.

 ‘’Shut up, but I never do get to see my surprise.’’ I said.

 ‘’Oh yeah, that surprise was delayed for about a month.’’ He said.

 ’Oh, ok.’’ I said. Another teacher across the hall walked over toward my desk. Chresanto made eye contact with her then looked down her entire body. I stepped on his Jordans.

 ‘’Hazel could you tell our agenda for this week?’’ She asked.

 ‘’Here take my book but bring it back.’’ I said. She nodded, then smiled at Chresanto. I looked back to see him giving her a smile. ‘’I should slit your damn throat, Chresanto.’’ I said.

 ‘’What did I do?’’ He asked.

 ‘’I seen you looking her up and down. You ain’t slick.’’ I said.

 ‘’I can’t lying I was looking at her but you’re my girl.’’ He said pecking my cheek.

 ‘’Umm hmm.’’ I mumbled.

 ‘’Babe, it’s true.’’ He said.

 ‘’You gotta go, class is about to start and I don’t you to be distracting my students Mr. Royal.’’ I said.

 ‘’Give me a passionate kiss and I’ll go.’’ He said. I sat down in the lap, kissing him so passionately. He smacked my ass then I let go. ‘’Dang, I’ll see you at home.’’ He said. I got up from his lap. He got up, pecking my lips then walking out for the classroom. I went around shaking all of my students. They woke up, walking slowly back to their seats.

 ‘’Ok everyone, since it’s Friday what do you wanna learn about?’’ I asked. Many of them raised their hands high. ‘’Ok, Joshua what should we learn about?’’ I asked.

 ‘’How to color in the lines.’’ He said.

 ‘’Ok, I have some coloring pages, color pencils, markers, and crayons. Let’s see how is the winner.’’ I said. They ran over to the bin to get their materials. I sat down at my desk looking at my iPad. My students are so smart. Joshua ran over to my desk.

 ‘’Ms. Brown, can I go to the bathroom?’’ He asked.

 ‘’Yeah.’’ I said. He grabbed the bathroom pass, running out of the door. I continued down my work on my iPad. My phone buzzed in my backpocket. It was probably Chresanto. I grabbed it from my backpocket. It was from a unknown number. I slipped it back into my pocket.

 Roc Royal’s Point of View

 I stood in the kitchen making Chicken Alfredo with Mac & Cheese with sausage. I can’t wait to go to Florida. The front door opened, slamming seconds after.

 ‘’Babe is that you?’’ I asked loudly. Someone wrapped their arms around my waist. I looked back seeing her.

‘’What smells good?’’ She asked.

 ‘’Chicken Alfredo with Mac & Cheese and cut up sausage.’’ I said.

 ‘’I don’t know you could cook.’’ She said.

 ‘’You’ll be surprise at what ya’ man can do. Jas’mariee and Prince will be in momentarily giving us sometime.’’ He said turning around. I hoisted her on the kitchen island, kissing her romantically. Things got a little heated, shirts were being thrown everywhere.

 ‘’Chresanto, is the food almost done?’’ She asked.

 ‘’Yeah, I have to watch it.’’ I said.

 ‘’If it wasn’t we could have been upstairs in our bedroom.’’ She said biting her lip attractively.

 ‘’I would still like that offer.’’ I said.

 ‘’Nope sorry.’’ She said hopping down off of the island. Prince and Marie walked into the kitchen, cheesing and shit.

 ‘’What’s up with y’all?’’ Hazel asked.

 ‘’We found us a nice house.’’ Princeton said. I turned back around, turning the stove off.

 ‘’The food is done, fix yo’ plates.’’ I said. Everyone fixed themselves a plate, sitting down at the island.

 ‘’Chresanto this is the best food I’ve ever tasted.’’ Hazel said.

 ‘’Thank you babe.’’ I said smiling. Everyone ate, holding conversations behind themselves. I stood against the wall zoned out from everything.

 ‘’Chresanto, babe. Marie and Prince said goodnight.’’ Hazel said snapping me back into reality.

 ‘’Goodnight.’’ I said. I walked over to Hazel, kissing her neck.

 ‘’You little freak.’’ She smiled.

 ‘’I know I’mma freak.’’ I said.

 ‘’Use but you ain’t gettin yo’ freak on tonight because I’m tired as mess.’’ She said walking out of the kitchen. I grabbed all of the dishes, throwing in the dishwasher. I walked upstairs to our bedroom to see Hazel passed out in the bed. I shook my head, chuckling at her sleeping position.
