Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is.
Jaden Terri.
He did come that morning.
Clark had taken an off as he fell ill. I thought he was taking off cuz of Jaden but his mother had called up and had told me he wouldn't be coming the next day too. Now, I was to face him alone.
Rebecca had left to work early that morning.
It was a Tuesday, one day which always has been a rush.Rebecca was a photographer, as for a current part time job. She had a huge interest in it too. She was a very independent woman and when I needed help, she would come to the rescue.
Last night I wanted to tell Rebi about Jaden after college but she was too busy with her own work, so I didn't want to disturb her.
In the morning I rushed to the shop on time. Today, in the absence of Clark I had to take all the shipment orders.
The bell of the door rang which meant Jaden was here. I didn't look up. I didn't have the guts to face him but when he came near, I felt I was in trouble for the previous day.
When he came my reaction was the same: surprised and terrified.
Strangely Jaden didn't show any anger or carry any attitude today. He came up to my desk and smiled. Not just any smile but the smile good people gave, not the wicked ones.
"Sir, your coffin is ready. Where would you like me to place it?", I said, not able to make eye contact.
He looked up in a very casual way which made my heart skip a beat. I didn't know how that happened.
He just looked so handsome at that moment. The way his dishevelled hair was falling on the left side of his face. I couldn't fall for a cruel guy but you will surely understand when something like him is in front of you, who cares if he is cruel or not.Jaden turned and told the driver to go back with a swift of his hand. The driver acted very weirdly, he looked very angry. At first, he said no and then he saw me and left.
Jaden turned back to my direction.
"I know this sounds weird but I wanna get to know you. I am sorry for my rude behaviour before but I wanna fix everything. Ummmm...Are you scared of me?", he asked quietly like someone was trying to listen.
I didn't know if I was supposed to answer that so I thought I would go the back of the store and avoid everything but then I remembered my mother's words:
Sweety, remember one thing for me. Your the bravest daughter anyone can have and that's why..... I am proud of you.
Sweetheart, there will be so many people like your father but you will be unique if you have the confidence to stare back in their eyes and talk back to them to show how weak they really are. You have to show who you really are. They are the cowards behind their masked faces, but you..... you are the knight in the shining armour! That's what I did, I looked back to him in his eyes. He looked a little scared at my reaction but relaxed later.
"I don't know about the getting to know part but yes I am scared of you. What you did to innocent people is horrendous and unacceptable. If you are any bit good, then you should surrender to the police on your own!" I shouted.Jaden got shocked when I shouted the last line. At that moment the driver came back. He looked angry as ever.
He came in and in an angry tone said, "Sir, it's time for you to leave. There is nothing left here as I have taken the coffin."
"Wait... I didn't get your name miss."
"You don't deserve to know it."
"That doesn't matter then, what matters is what I call you. I hope to see you again my Andromeda. I shall take my leave now."
With that, the driver took him out of the store.I had seen two faces of Jaden Terri: one, no one wanted to see and the other, no one had ever seen. Could Jaden be a good guy, is his attitude hiding the actual person inside of him? I didn't care, I wasn't gonna fall for him.
Well, I felt like I wanted to know him but for that, I had to meet him again but I wouldn't. I didn't have the intention to handle so many emotions at the same time.
Not thinking about it anymore I finally got back to work.
The next three hours went in organising the store. I had only one hour left to college and I had a lot of work left. I then thought to inform Clark that the pending orders I would try to finish tomorrow.I started off to college. It's the usual bus I take to get there, the common carriage bus. Almost the whole town went to this college and of course on the same bus so it was always full. Finally catching a place, I reached the college campus.
Rebecca would have reached by now.
When I got down and reached the front gate, I saw her.
I was correct. Rebi was there waiting for me. She was busy on her phone. I ran to catch up with her. She looked up and smiled."Hey there! Let's go." and off we went like any other day.
We headed to our first class which occurred on a daily basis -life skills. It was necessary. Professor John would teach us all the good ways to lead a life which didn't allow anyone to take the wrong path.
Next was the unrevived class.Jaden had made that compulsory too.
Like that our daily classes carried on.We usually come out of college every day at 5 and we would eat ice-cream nearby at our favourite shop all the time but today Rebi didn't come along. She didn't even bother to call me after college was over.
She was acting a little weird today. She looked sad and was almost about to cry in one of our classes together. She didn't even talk in painting classes too. Something was wrong and I had to find out some how.
But when and how?(authors note)
