I didn't mean to have a crush already, but I do. His name is--his name is Travis Stoll. I don't know--he seems cute, funny, and nice.

"Nice to meet ya, my name is Travis. Travis Stoll!" He said as the door closed behind me. Another boy almost identical to Travis popped behind him, doing bunny ears. "And my name is Conner Stoll. Better than my brother, of course!" Conner said, winking. I couldn't help but giggle. I shook both of their hands. All the other girls in the cabin rolled their eyes. Some of them even seem jealous.

I smiled. Travis rubbed his neck. "Soooo....," He said. Conner looked puzzled, and so did the whole cabin. "What?" Travis said. "Travis! You never act so--so nice, bro!" Conner said. He never acted so...nice? "Oh...that! Hehe, yea!" Travis muttered. I don't know why, but I just felt comfortable around him. I put my hand on his shoulder, and he flinched. "You have got to be kidding, right? I mean, Travis seems nice enough!" I said smiling at him. The whole cabin snickered. Someone chanted, "Travis Stoll is in love!" multiple times. Travis turned bright red.

Then, a guy with sea-green eyes and black messy hair walked in. "Hey guys, the campfire is gonna start soon. Chiron said to get the new girl settled," His eyes focused on me, then on Travis. "Why are you red?" The boy asked. "Shut up, Percy. None of your business!" Travis yelled and ran out of the cabin. I turned to Conner. "Is he always like this?" I asked him. Conner smirked. "No. He just likes you. This is unusual, actually!" Conner said.

                        .....................................................................................................

I felt bad for Travis, so I went and tried to find him. I finally spotted him at this beach. "Hey," I said to him, sitting down next to Travis. He had been crying, I could tell. He sniffed. "Oh, hi," he said solemnly. "Are-Are you okay?" I asked looking at him. "I'm fine. Just-just....they are right. I'm usually out pranking people, like today with the squirt guns. That was hilarious!" he said with a solemn smile. "Yea, that would be fun. Maybe I could prank someone with you sometime," I said, and I meant it too.

Travis smiled. "Yeah! That would be great! Maybe -maybe you're the child of Hermes. Like me. You like to prank people?" he asked me. I giggled. "Heck yeah! I used to prank my brother...he's dead now," I said suddenly feeling grief in my stomach. "Oh...do you mind me asking how he died?" Travis asked. I wanted to say that I do mind, but my gut told otherwise. "No, I don't mind. He died...of cancer. He had he had lung cancer," I said choking back a sob. But, I found myself crying.

"Don't cry! Please don't cry!" He said looking around. "B-But you were crying too!" I said. "I guess we are cry buddies then. I don't cry much. I'm a Stoll. But today, I'm not a Stoll. I'm a crybaby," Travis said. I forced a smile, then it turned real. I sniffed. "Yep, cry buddies for sure," I said. "So, we're friends then?" Travis said. I nodded. I don't know why,  but I hugged him. Travis's face turned bright red. "Thanks," I said. "No, thank you!" He laughed.
