Chapter Seventeen
"The smell of fear is unforgettable and intoxicating."
The bright sun shone brightly down upon the citizens of Kattegat in the early morning as those around got up and about and started preparing themselves for the day ahead.
Daga had been up since the first rays of sunlight hit the horizon she had laid flat upon her back in the center of her clearing deep within the woods behind her family's home for the longest time greeting the sunrise as an old friend letting the warm rays of daylight warm her pale flesh and cure her achy bones. The young warrior then went on to prepare for the day ahead knowing she would be spending it with her newly discovered sister in law and putting forth the rest of her plans as she saw fit while freely rediscovering the land of her people before setting out to find her son who she knew was out on the boats with Floki and Sassa.
Daga finished pulling her boots on when her irritation finally got the best of her "If you intend to stand there and stare make yourself useful and fetch me a horn of mead."
She didn't turn around as the younger and smaller foreign woman jolted before hurrying to do as she was told to. Daga reached out and accepted the the full horn quickly presented to her before standing to tower over the much smaller woman.
The blood haired Berserker gazed down upon the Asian woman with a predatory gaze one that the black haired woman could not break away from once she caught the blazing other worldly blue eyes that clashed heatedly with her brown ones.
So much like the King's and yet so much more inhuman.
Daga took a hearty sip before seductively and dangerously flicking her tongue out against her bottom lip before she spoke her voice still having its hoarse tone that made her sound like herself and yet very unlike her self. More dangerous. More alluring.
"So, you are the slave my father has occupied himself with so heavily." Her words were void of any emotion but her eyebrow was raised in question Yidu was shocked she had no clue of how to respond to such a statement from the adored Princess not even realizing yet that the Norse Woman had spoken in Yidu's own language. The much smaller woman suddenly found herself air born before her back was slammed harshly into a wooden table, her air way constricted harshly making her choke in surprise at the lack of air entering her lungs.
The smaller woman shook violently tears blurring her eyes as she gazed up terrified at the red haired princess whose breath taking blue eyes glowed blindingly down upon her with a hardness to them she could not put into words, Daga leaned down and gently ran her nose along the edge of the smaller woman's neck taking a deep breath that made her eyes roll back into her head viciously as the smell of fear overwhelmed her senses and sent the pale woman's body ablaze with sickening power that made her entire being tingle with the need to give into her darker urges but no, Daga resisted but used the younger woman to her advantage.
"You know fear has such a distinct smell to it. Its an addicting smell to predators and I hate to break it to you but you being absolutely petrified right now is not helping me from killing you where you lay." Daga purred softly into the young woman's ear resisting her darkest instincts.
"Please.." Yidu begged softly in Norse through tears as she clinched her eyes shut violently to the point of seeing colorful stars behind her eyelids. Suddenly the weight of the strong and able hand upon her neck disappeared and her eyes snapped open with out her intentions to as she gazed fearfully at the warrior above her.
Gone was the cold and cruelty and in its place was a small warm smile that instantly and confusedly put Yidu at ease enough to sit up slightly upon the table her hair messy and her face tear stained as she gazed cautiously at the taller and stronger woman who watched her curiously.
