In the hallway behind the closed door Cassi was inching closer towards an irate frazzled Lucius.
She dared to speak.

"You're looking..... more fit." She stumbled on her wording.

"Well Cassiopeia, as you surely wouldn't know, never having been incarcerated within the fortress of Azkaban, you couldn't begin to know the damage it does to one's body, mind, and soul

"Well Cassiopeia, as you surely wouldn't know, never having been incarcerated within the fortress of Azkaban, you couldn't begin to know the damage it does to one's body, mind, and soul. Not to mention your schemes. Your Veela nature you absorb from your wand core is exuding you. I just wonder when you'll sprout villain teeth, a razor sharp beak and spit fireballs at me." He sneared, gripping his cane.

Severus stepped in front of her but she pushed him away, mouthing to him that now wasn't the time.

Lucius, watching, grew livid, his face redeeming his trade make smirk.

"You just don't stop, do you Severus!?"

"Watch your mouth Malfoy!" Severus exclaimed.

Lucius, overcome by past event's and seeing Severus coming to the aid of Cassi- a job that was rightfully his- threw a fist at Severus hooked nose, landing him on his back with the brute force of his mighty swing.

"You are no brother of mine! You're just lucky our Master is in the next room or I'd have you nailed down flat and pull your rib cage out through your back! And you Cassiopeia! I thought foolishly, that you could love someone; truly love someone for the first time in your life. That your days of promiscuity and meaningless trysts were over. I thought that what we had was true! I ended my marriage for you!"

"Come now Lucius. Your marriage was over way before you found interest in me. Right here in your very Manor you admitted such. Do not blame her infidelity on me!" She vented.

He retaliated, Severus stirring and settings up wiping his bloody nose.
"So that's it then! You'll spread your legs for a greasy haired dungeon dwelling loathsome bat, and throw me to the crows!"

"Lucius." She began.

"No. Don't! I get it. You'd rather dwell in the Darkness of those that use you for your body, when I could've given you so much more. I'm tired of your excuses." He paused, looked down at her pure beauty and bitter soul.
