The innocent poppy field, once so serene and flower yielding- even beneath the blanket of snow- was now filled with jets of green and red. Aurors, littered the stomped plains, curses being forced in every direction.

Avery was holding off 2 of the smaller Ministry Official's near tent side. Lucius was further away, alone, nearer to the woods, hurling counter curses at 3 burly men.

"Avery! Keep her safe!" Lucius yelled from across the field. If it wasn't for the enhanced voice emitting from his own wand that was pointed at his throat, Avery wouldn't have heard him over all the commotion.

As it was, that second of distraction cost Avery. He was hit with a spell that blew him backwards off of his feet and into the tent. He coughed, near breathless and rolled over to see Cassi awake. Her eye's were wide and unknowing. She opened her mouth to speak, but no sooner did word's leave her mouth than the tent came collapsing down upon them. Avery kicked and punched at the fabric, until he came free and once again, was face to face with the Auror duo. He pointed his wand and hit one in the chest with a jinx. He pointed it at the next man, but he was quicker and hit Avery head on. Like a sling shot, he was flailing through the night's air. He was eating snow when he landed with a crunching thud next to the agile fighting Lucius.

He coughed again, dirty snow and muck stuck to his lips.
"Was this all part of your Master plan?" He spit, all amusement gone from his tone but the sarcastic underlying ever present.

"Where's Cassiopeia?"

Both of their heads turned back towards the rubbled mess that use to be the tent. Cassi, in all her glory, was crawling out from beneath the crumpled pile, thorny wand in hand.

Avery took off in a sprint in her direction, but one of the beefcake Aurors attacked him from behind, a beam of red light hitting him between his shoulderblades. He was sprawled out on the wet earth again, this time, unmoving. He was out cold.

Far to big for his tiny robes, the Jolly Green Giant of a man cackled in his laughter. Lucius decided to silence him for good. Slashing his wand through the air, he belted out The Unforgivable that would permanently end him.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The green light hit the beefcake between the eye's and he fell in a lifeless heep, to the ground. Lucius stunned the other two men, then jolted towards Cassiopeia. She was fighting off the Aurors nearest her. She'd already incased one of the tiny men in a thick block of ice and was holding off the second one- flashes of neon light briefly lighting up her pale form.

"Protego!" She squeaked out, throwing up a shield to block his aim. She couldn't hold it for long, she was far to weak. She fell to her knees, both her hands wrapped about her reed wand as she attempted to hold up the shield.

It was no use. Her arms fell to her side's and the shield vanished.

"What a nice prize you'll be to the Dementors. Two for the price of one!" The Auror taunted, tip toeing closer to her with his wand precisely aimed at her middle.
