***FRANKIE'S POV***

The weekend passed quickly, as usual. I spent most of it cooped up in my room with the occasional visit from Alex or a Heather. Everyone thinks the Heathers are bitches but, truth is, they're only bitches if you give them a reason to be.
Alex insisted on driving me to school Monday morning, which was unusual, as she usually drove with Veronica, but I accepted the offer regardless.
The two of us walked into the cafeteria to wait for the morning bell to ring, as usual, when J.D shyly approached me.
"I'm gonna go get something to eat," I said to Alex quickly, walking away to go buy breakfast.
I wasn't all that hungry, but I couldn't be seen talking to J.D. As I waiting in line, I was approached by Jake and Ethan.
"So," Jake said, draping an arm over my shoulder. "Now that we're a thing, yanno, you wanna come over after school?"
"We aren't a thing sweetheart," I laughed, shrugging his arm off of me. The only 'thing' I have for you is disgust."
"You're so cute when you're pissy," Ethan chimed in, getting close to me as well.
"You wanna know who isn't cute when she's pissy?" a voice rang out, and I turned around.
Alex stood in between Veronica and Heather Duke, her arms crossed and stance strong. Both our sisters soon joined the group, and Jake laughed.
"You think I'm afraid of a couple of Heathers and the lesbian lovers?" he argued, and Ethan laughed along.
"True," Alex sighed, beginning to walk away.
The Heathers and Veronica looked extremely confused as Alex stood in shame. She bowed her head and began to turn around, before spinning back quickly and slamming her foot into Jake's crotch.
"How's that for jock property?" she spat, and Ethan shot forward to defend his friend.
As quickly as Ethan stepped forward, Alex's fist shot out. The kid practically walked into it, his nose bashing into her closed hand.
"FUCK ALL OF YOU AND ALL YOUR STUPID RULES. WE ARE THE RULES," Alex yelled at the top of her lungs. She quickly spun around, deeply kissed Veronica, and then stormed out of the cafeteria.
Everyone, including Veronica, stood in awe. No one knew what to do or say, and a small chuckle flew out of my mouth by accident.
"I had nothing to do with that," I laughed. "But, God, I wish I did."
Ethan let out a small whimper, blood pouring from his nose, and Jake kneeled over on the ground in pain. I laughed at them, and when I turned to look at the Heathers and Veronica, I noticed that my sister had disappeared.

***ALEX'S POV***

Beating up Jake and Ethan was probably the best high school experience I could've asked for. It made up for all the slurs they called Veronica and I when we first got together. I stormed out of the cafeteria and then remembered something. As everyone was staring at Ethan and Jake on the ground, I quickly went back in and approached Jason.
"You're coming with me," I told him, grabbing on to the collar of his shirt and pulling him out of the cafeteria behind me. I made eye contact with Heather Chandler on my way out, and she followed close behind. I let go of Jason once Heather shut the door of the empty classroom we entered, and he looked at us over his glasses.
"Listen here you little shit," I started, and the look on his face turned from confusion to concern.
"Alex," Heather chuckled, "don't scare the kid."
"Well you talk then because I'm fired up!" I shouted, and Heather laughed harder.
"J.D, right?" she started. "You like to be called J.D?"
"Yeah," J.D mumbled, and Heather nodded.
"Alright," she continued, "now listen. Frankie is going to ignore you. She's gonna ignore you because of stupid rules she was practically born into because she's related to me. You don't want that, right?"
J.D remained silent, looking back and forth at Heather and I, and I stepped forward.
"Listen, Glasses," I said. "Frankie may be a badass, but she's also a precious little bean. You've seen what happens to people who mess with our precious little bean."
"Alex!" Heather scolded, holding back laughter, and I turned to look at her.
"Let me finish!" I chuckled, relaxing and looking back at J.D. "I know you know. I know why Jake and Ethan did what the did Friday night, and considering you didn't get a black eye after kissing her, she obviously doesn't dislike you."
"Um," J.D coughed, shrugging slightly. "I don't plan on going after anything-"
"Why not?!" I interrupted. "You're not gay. I'd know if you were gay. I'd know if you were gay. So what's the big deal, huh?"
"Why are you guys talking to me?" Jason mumbled. "I-I'm not the same here as I was in New York, okay? I would much rather be back there where I was cool and knew what to expect from the girls. Frankie's just, not average, I guess. She makes me nervous."
"She makes the entire fucking school a little nervous," Heather muttered, and I laughed.
"There's different standards here," Jason continued, and I shook my head.
"Who cares?" I said. "Don't you listen to that radio show? We are the rules. How do you think the Heathers rose to the top? By making the rules as they went; that's how. You're gonna have to talk to her because she's not gonna talk to you."
Jason remained silent, and I turned to walk towards the door.
"Whatever," I said, defeated, "but you're being really stupid to let some nerves get in the way."
Heather and I left the classroom, and Heather looked at me.
"Our precious bean?" she asked, laughing softly.
"FRANKIE IS A FETUS," I shouted, and she laughed harder.
"She's only a month younger than you!" Heather replied, and we walked down the hall to our classrooms.
