Max's POV
"Whose that?" I ask, not knowing what to think. If it's the vampires, we're dead and if it's anyone else then we will also be dead because the chances are the vampires could prey on those innocent people and find us in the process.
"I don't know." Beth says, as she stands up and makes her way towards the window. She pulls the curtains open just a fraction and peers outside. "It's a girl." she tells us and I instantly think of Rheanna. Did we tell her where we were going? Or did she leave before we left? I can't remember, but at least we will get to find out where Vesuvious and Vlad are keeping Lu.
"Is it Rheanna?" Nathan asks, jumping up from his seat, obviously eager to find out what she knows.
"No, I can't see their face properly, but she has blonde hair." Beth informs us. Who the hell could that be? I don't know anyone with blonde hair that would be able to find us here.
"Should we answer it?" Kristen asks, looking slightly worried herself. What if the vampires have found us and they have sent a girl so that we will answer the door and invite her in and then they will all swarm the place, killing us all.
"I don't know." Beth says, sounding unsure.
"Well is she a vampire?" I ask.
"I think so. I can see a little bit of blood on her cheek, but like I said. I can't see her face properly." Beth tells us. "Oh shit. It's like she's trying to bang the door down, we have to get her in here. She's drawing too much attention to the place."
"Alright, let me go." Kristen says. "There's still a chance, they don't know I'm with you guys." with that she gets up from her seat and disappears into the hall way. She closes the door behind her, shutting us all inside the dinning room.
"Does she look dangerous?" Nathan asks, but Beth just shrugs.
"What does it matter anyway. You don't look particularly dangerous, but you are. You kill people for food." Beth says, bitterly.
"So do you." Nathan shoots back.
"Shut up, you guys. We don't want whoever is out there to know that we're in here." Max says, giving Nathan daggers and with that everyone goes quiet.
"Nathan!" I hear someone yell from the hallway.
"Should I go out there?" Nathan asks, looking causcious.
"No. It might be a trap." she says.
"Nathan, I know you're in there." the voice yells again.
"Don't move, Nathan." Tom warns him.
"Nathan! I know you can hear me." the voice shouts, getting louder.
"Maybe you should go out there and see what's going on?" I tell Nathan, realising that the shouting probably won't stop until this woman gets to see Nathan.
"No. You can't go out there. I'll go and find out what's going on and then I will come back and tell you what I find out." Beth says, walking over to the door. She opens it and slides through, trying not to let whoever is out there see inside.
"What do you think is going on?" Nathan asks, looking puzzled.
"Personally I think it's a trap." Shannon says. "But don't worry, we're not going to let anything happen to you."
"Come on, Shannon. I'm not a child. You can't fool me with that rubbish. If someone out there wants to get to me, they're not going to stop until they get me. So don't pretend you can stop this." Nathan tells her, giving her a bitter look.
