Jay's POV

"This must be it." Max says, as we stop outside of an abandoned looking house.

"Are you sure?" I ask, not wanting to go in and find innocent family sitting around the fire eating their dinner or something.

"It must be. Kristen said that they were going to an old house, and this is the only remotly old looking house in the area. It couldn't be anywhere else. Now stop being such a wimp and come on." he tells me and with that he makes his way towards the house. I can see that someone has been here recently because the grass has been squoshed by people walking on it and the vines have been cut, but they're not yet dead.

Max knocks on the door and I wait patiently beside him for someone to come and answer the door. All of a sudden the door swings open. I peer inside but I don't see anything or anyone for that matter. For a second I think that maybe the house is haunted, but as I look through the crack of the door, I can see someone trying to hide. "I can see you, you know." I say, whilst walking straight into the house. "Come in, Max." I say, knowing that he can't enter unless someone invites him in. He walks in behind me and Shannon emerges from behind the door.

"How did you know I was here?" she asks, looking slightly disapointed.

"Because doors don't open by themselves and I could see you through the door crack." I admit.

"Well it was worth a try." she sighs.

"Come on, everyone is waiting in the dinning room." she tells us as she makes her way towards the door on the left and walks through it. There we find everyone sat round a very long table, like one you might see in a confrence room. Nobody has taken the end two seats, I guess we're all equel here anyway. So, I sit down next to Tom, who is sitting next to Nathan, beside him is kristen and on the other side of the table is Beth, Nicky and now Max.

"Is everything okay?" Max asks, looking slightly worried.

"Tom and Nathan saw something." Kristen tells him. I hold my breath, hoping that it wasn't the other vampire who want to kill me.

"What was it?" Max asks.

"Well I was exploring the house, with Nathan and then we found these bed rooms, that I think must have been the three childrens rooms because on the way up the stairs there are pictures of this family and none of the rooms had a double bed so I guess, the parents bedroom was somewhere else." Tom begins.

"I think the parents room is upstairs next to the study because there is a double bed in there and it looks like it could have belonged to a married couple." Shannon cuts in.

"Yeah, probably, anyway, so I was looking in each of the rooms and when I got to the room that I think must belong to the boy, I noticed a bit of the wall paper was peeling and I could see a little bit of red behind it. So, I decided to pull of the wallpaper and see what it was because I was curious, you know." Tom continues. "And then I realised that it was painted in blood and it said 'Beware', so I don't know. I just think being here isn't a good idea. Maybe we should find somewhere else."

"But this place is perfect and so what if there is a bit of blood on the walls. I told you this place is haunted." Kristen tells us.

"I know, but it just feels to be that something is trying to warn us away, like maybe there's a demon spirit in this house or something." Nathan says.

"Yeah there is. There's a group of demon spirits in here. We're them." Kristen sighs. "You don't really believe in ghosts do you? That's ridiculous."

"How is it? People have already reported sightings in this house and people have died here." Nathan tells us.

"Yeah, I know. I died here, but clearly it isn't ghosts doing the killing." Kristen rolls her eyes.

"That proves it. We have to get out of this house. If the creatures that are doing the killing here are vampires then whose to say that they're not going to come back here in and day or maybe a month to kill some more teenagers that are stupid enough to squat in this place and they find us? Then they're going to kill us all." Tom says, standing up from his seat. "Come on, we're leaving. This place isn't safe."

"Nowhere is safe and besides, we've managed to survive this long without them finding us. So they know that we're not supid. Therefore they think that we're too clever to come here when we know that they come here to hunt." Kristen tries to defend the place.

"Yes, but what  if they're not looking for us, but they find us here by accident. Then we won't be able to escape." I tell her.

"I know, but unless they have reason to believe that someone is staying here, they won't come in."

"How do they get in anyway? I thought you had to be invited inside, unless you lived there at some point."  Shannon asks.

"You do, but I think when you've been a vampire for a certain amount of time, you become amune to the threshold rule." Kristen says, shrugging.

"So when you're one of the olds, you're amune to death pretty much?" I ask.

"No of course you're not. You can just by pass certain rules, like I don't think garlic affects them and they're stronger and I don't know what else. We will just have to wait and see." Kristen tells us, with a slight smile on her face, as if she's looking forward to when she can do that.

"We're going to have to make sure we survive this first." Max tells her and with that, the smile fades.

At that moment there is a knock at the door. My heart sinks at the thought of who it might be. If the vampires have found us then that's it. It's game over.
