*3 hours of pain and nearly ripping my hair out later*
Me: all done!
Braid: lopsided. Hair sticking out everywhere. Totally uncomfortable. Will either be impossible to undo, or come undone in 2 seconds.
Me: 😤😡😡😡😡
Ok; skip the braid

Ponytail
Me: ok; I'll make a ponytail! Easy and simple!
Hair tie: mwah haha haha hahah! 😈😈😈😈😈😈
* 2 painstaking hours later*
Me: there! That wasn't so bad!
Hair tie: think again!
Hair tie: come undone. Unleashes wisps of hair everywhere. Becomes totally uncomfortable. Pulls on every strand of hair still attached to my scalp.
Me: ARGH!!!! YOU WIN!!😡😡😡😡
Hair tie: I always win. 😎😈

Brushing hair
Me: looks at hair brush
Looks at crazy hair in mirror
Sighs...
Here we go...
Hairbrush: mwah hhaha hahhaa. How best should I give her hell? I know!😈😈😈😈
Hairbrush: pulls on every possible strand of hair.
Me and hair: OWWW!
Hairbrush: look at me! I got all your hair! Don't blame your hair loss on stress! It's me, your bestie, hairbrush!
* 20 hours of pain and hair loss later*
Hairbrush: covered in hair
Me: there! All the knots are gone!
Hair: not so fast!
* 5 seconds later*
Hair: woo noo! Look at me! I'm all knotted! Your gonna have to brush me!
Me: looks in mirror
Sighs......
Gets hairbrush
Looks in mirror

Stereotype
Eyebrows on fleek. Hair in an awesome braid. Flawless hair flip. Wind blows wisps of hair in one direction for a sassy look. Constantly preening hair. Eyelashes full of mascara. Hair perfectly placed on one shoulder.

Reality
The wind blows wisps of hair EVERYWHERE, including in your mouth. When you feed yourself, your feeding your hair. Our eyebrows are bended in every direction. Must can't even put on mascara, and when we do, it gets all over our eyes. Brushing our hair is the most painful thing in the world. We only brush our hair because we have to. If we try to flip our hair, it goes every which way, especially in our mouth. Our hair is constantly lopsided. Braids and ponytails don't last 2 seconds. If we put all our hair on one shoulder, wisps of hair will quickly find there way to the other side, and it's pointless. All the hair will go every which way and be in every which way in 3 seconds. Long hair is TO DIE FOR!
