"Zayn...Khadija" someone shook me by the shoulder lightly, making me wince as my eyes fluttered open and sunlight filled the car. I shifted a bit, only to realize that I had fallen asleep on Zayn's shoulder. Rubbing my eyes I focused on the view infront of me...and it looked like we had arrived, but I wasn't the only one who had fallen asleep on our way to the hotel.
"Zayn.." I tenderly shook his arm, resulting in him groaning and then turning his back towards me, only to fall asleep again.
"I'll take care of him, you go ahead" Louis offerred a small smile as I stepped out of the car and into the blinding sunlight. Wow, it sure was sunny here in L.A. I covered my eyes up with my raybans and grabbed my bags from the trunk before heading upto our rooms...way up actually, on floor 145. Thank God none of us had height phobia. Let's see...room 1400...room 1400...ahaa! I found it. Swipping the card in the lock, the door clicked open and I stepped inside, ready to fall down on my bed any second. Carelessly throwing my bags in a corner and kicking my shoes off, I jumped into bed and closed my eyes...ready to be treated by heavenly dreamland.
"Khadija?" my eyes shot open and right infront of me stood a shirtless Liam.
"Liam?!" I immediately sat up and pulled the covers over my body like I was naked, but actually it was quite the opposite. "What are you doing in my room? and why are you half-naked!?" I managed to keep my eyes away from him as he quickly pulled a royal blue t-shirt over his head.
"Sorry about that" he mutterred, I looked back at him "and I believe you have the wrong room" he raised his hand, showing the card with a big 1400 carved over it. Wow, what a fancy hotel. I reached for the side-table and picked up my card, showing him the same numbers that were carved on it as well.
"So we have the same room??" I was apalled at the idea of sharing a room a guy, be it Liam.
"Seems like it" he spoke slowly, studying the card like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
"Well no! I don't want to share a room with you!" I got up and headed for the door.
"Ouch. That hurts"
I stopped midway and turned around, sighing as I looked at a hurt Liam.
"You know that's not what I meant Liam...I just...I'm not comfortable sharing a room with a guy you know.." he nodded, giving me a small forced smile.
"I understand"
I weakly smiled at him before turning around and walking down to the reception, I hope this gets sorted out, I'm really not in the mood to be sharing a room...not with anyone.
"What do you mean you can't change my room?" I glared at the perky receptionist.
"I'm sorry but all the rooms are full. We always have advance reservations and according to the details we have, the person who made your reservation reserved two rooms with five beds" she looked at the computer screen before looking back at me.
"So there's no other option?"
"I'm afraid not ma'am, enjoy your stay" Slumping my shoulders, I made my way to the elevator and up all the way back to my room, correction, our room. Oh great, I even forgot my card inside. I mechanically knocked on the door untill Liam finally decided to open it.
"Well hello there roomie" he smiled at me. I glared at him before dropping, face down on my bed again. "Someone's all sunshine and daisies"
"Shutup Liam" I groaned into the pillow, making him chuckle.
"So what happened?" Liam sat down on his bed, facing me. Well, atleast we had seperate beds.
"The stupid reception woman says they have no other rooms" I groaned again, punching the pillow.
"Oh"
"Yeah"
"Well the rest of the boys are sharing a single room, I could swap with one of them if you want..."
"No no!" I turned around, answering a bit too quickly.
"No?" It was impossible to miss the smile on his face.
"Exactly. I'd rather have you than those three"
"Oh really...and why is that?" he arched an eyebrow.
"Well..." I let out a deep breath "Niall's hungry all the time, Louis is too messy and Zayn..well I don't want an over-dose of man cologne in my room" Liam laughed as he nodded at my explanation.
"Fair enough" he smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.
"But if you annoy me..." I pointed at him "I will have you replaced, get that?"
"Aye aye captain"
"Good then" I placed a foot on top of the other and subconsciously played with the locket around my neck "get me food boy, I'm hungry"
"Yes ma'am, right away ma'am" he headed for the door "salad or a low far yogurt?" I looked at him like he was speaking some alien language.
"A chicken burger with extra cheese" he just stared at me.
"What boy?" I patted my tummy "I like my calories" Liam smiled as he shook his head and walked out the door. Well, isn't he a good little boy.
*****
"Owww!" I cursed under my breath as my skin got stuck in between the zipper. I was trying on the dress Lou had designed...the one that I was suppose to wear to the ceremony tomorrow. There was a slight knock on the door before I heard Liam's voice from the other side of the bathroom door.
"Everything okay in there?"
"Yeah...I just..."
"Is it safe to look?"
"I guess"
Liam pocked his head in before his eyes landed on me while I continued to suffer with the zipper.
"Need help?"
"Yes please" I hung my hands miserably as Liam walked towards me "The zip is stuck"
"And you're bleeding" he frowned as he looked at my back. "Wait, let me clean this off"
"My skin got caught in between the zip so yeah..." I tried to get a look of the wound while Liam returned with some cotton and some sort of liquid to clean it off. I decided not to ask what it was, he probably knew what he was doing.
"Oww!" it stung as soon as the cotton made contact with my skin.
"Sorry about that" he lightly blew at my wounded skin, sending shivers down my spine, i suddenly felt weirdly exposed and self-conscious. I felt Liam's finger tips brush against my skin as he cautiously zipped up my dress and I found myself studying his profile in the mirror. He is really good-looking...how have I never noticed that before...my eyes lingered on the muscles in his forearm that contracted as his hand moved up my back...and before I knew it, I was studying his face. That stubble, that jawline, those eyes. He has deep-set eyes...as if he knew I was studying him in the mirror, Liam looked up and his eyes instantly met mine in the mirror, and for some reason, I didn't look away. He wasn't smiling or attempting to, he just looked straight into my eyes with a look that spoke volumes. I had no clue what my eyes were saying...I just knew that I couldn't look away from his. The touch of his cold hand against my skin brought me back to reality and I immediately looked down, pulling a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"It's done" he whispered and I could almost feel his breath on my neck. But I didn't dare look up at him again, I just nodded and he started walking out the door.
"Thank you" I risked a glance towards his direction and he stopped and just looked at me for a few seconds before walking out again.
