Chapter 39 - TRAIN

The following days, I watched on the sideline as Rhett began his intensive training. It annoys me a bit because Dina was beside me also watching.

I badly want to see Rhett train, but I also have to be trained by Dina. So it was decided that we'd train in the same gym per my request to be with Rhett.

Captain Kenny thankfully agreed, as the four of us occupied Rhett's private gym.  Sometimes we'd rotate our routines and I'd train with Captain Kenny or with Rhett.

The only problem was whenever Dina train with Rhett, I'd get crazy jealous.

There, I admitted it. Ya'll happy now?!

Whenever Rhett would see me frown at them, he'd wink at me and smile. And he would actually cut short their training to go to me.

Dina would just roll her eyes at me. "Don't be so clingy, Rhett needed to focus in this training so quit hogging all his attention." Dina scolded me when Kenny and Rhett went out to grab us some healthy snack while Dina and I were left to train.

I raised an eyebrow at her, "I'm his girlfriend, I'm entitled to hog all his attention." I stick my tongue out at her and crossed my arms.

She just scoffed at me, "You're so immature." She commented.

"Whatever." I retorted.

She just sighed in defeat, "Look, doll face. Rhett had to take this seriously. It's the championship for crying out loud!"

"You know he's taking this seriously, Dina. Captain Kenny couldn't even land a punch on him." I stated proudly.

Rhett is a beast. He was the best I've seen, and I'm not just saying this because I'm his girlfriend. I knew that once he's inside the ring his focus would be there, and I pity anyone who'd be in there against him.

It's funny how he was so gentle and kind with me but when he was inside the ring he was like a totally different person, ferocious and savage.

"You clearly didn't know who his opponent gonna be. Captain Kenny is not the person Rhett's gonna fight with.  He has a terrible reputation, so if I were Rhett I'd double my effort to train." Dina shuddered lightly.

That caught my attention and was about to ask who's Rhett opponent was when Captain Kenny and Rhett arrived with the food.

Rhett kissed me on the head, "Sorry, but no pasta for you during training." He said not really apologizing, but in a teasing manner.

I pouted a bit but managed to smile when he quickly pecked my lips. "Thank you." I didn't know if I was thanking him for the snack or for the kiss.

Maybe both?

Dina just rolled her eyes and was like saying 'see? you're distracting him.' While Captain was like 'go get her, boy.' with a smirk on his face.

Salad was my least favorite food. I can't stomach it. I wasn't able to finish it so I gave it to Rhett.

"You didn't eat much." He commented as he eat my food.

I gave him an apologetic smile. "I don't really like vegetables." I reminded him again.

"I know. But you need to eat healthy, now that you're training. I will not force you to eat it. But thank you for trying." He said smiling at me.

I just smiled back. God! This guy! He's making me wanna eat the salad the way he pleads.
