I was on my way down to the second floor where they told me the gym was located, I was humming to myself feeling somewhat elated that Rhett might actually have feelings for me.

Ding!

I arrived on the second floor. The walls on the hallway were made of clear glass, as well as the door so it was easy for me to see what's inside the gym.

It was fully equipped with things that you'll find in a public gym. It also had a ring in the middle, where Rhett was intensely sparring with captain Kenny. It kinda creeped me out a bit, seeing the caged ring up close.

But it was quickly replaced by admiration when I saw Rhett's rippling muscle as he traded punches with captain.

Holy cow! He's so.. ugh! He's so yummy.. I could even taste him.

I slapped myself inwardly. Focus Gorgeous! You're here to-- wow! That was a strong punch.

They didn't even notice me when I entered the glass door. I situated myself at the vacant bench near the ring, grateful that nobody's there to watch me drool over Rhett.

I'm such a girl sometimes.

They halted when captain Kenny noticed me, "You came!" He announced happily, grateful for some distraction. It must have hurt sparring with Rhett.

I beamed at them, noticing that Rhett just glanced at me without saying a word. "Go on, continue your training guys." I said nonchalantly, "I'm just gonna observe here."

They went back to what they're doing and I was busy observing them. I badly wanna try those moves, to be honest. Rhett sure knows how to throw a punch. Half an hour passed when captain called for a time-out. They were both panting when they got out of the ring.

"Hope you're learning something from this." Captain Kenny said to me. "You can train with the others back at the club." He reminded, opening his water bottle then drinking from it.

I just smiled cheekily at captain. "So, when and where is this championship gonna happen?" I asked casually.

Glancing slyly sideways to take a good look at Rhett who was now busy with the punching bag. Still intensely focused.

"Two weeks from now, at Moa Arena." Captain looked at me curiously, "Are you planning to watch?" He asked.

I was about to say 'yes' when Rhett beat me to it.

"No. She won't." He continued punching. I gave him a 'what-the-hell?' look, but he's not watching me.

Captain just shrugged at me. "Most probably the tickets are already sold-out. Good thing I bought mine a month ago. VIP baby!" He explained excitedly. "It's THE Championship afterall."

He left Rhett and I saying he had to make an important call. Once captain's out, I stood beside Rhett facing him. He stopped punching.

"Why am I not allowed to watch?" I fumed angrily.

It was distracting, the way his shirt clung to his sweaty form. He exhaled audibly before facing me.

"Because, as captain Kenny said the tickets were sold out." He explained, removing the gloves from his hand.

He could see that I'm not convinced by his explanation.

"What if I could make a way to watch? There are others who---" I was cut off, again.

"I said NO!" I was startled by his outburst. His gray eyes hardening.

I crossed my arms, "Then tell me why? I'm trying to be a friend here, Rhett. Why can't I watch?" I matched his gaze.

He looked lost for a second, looking at the floor. "You'll be a distraction."

I laughed in disbelief, "That's bullshit. I just saw you train with Kenny in the ring Rhett, and you're as focused as a hawk. And you know I'm watching."

He paced to and fro, ruffling his hair. "You don't understand, Gorgeous." He sighed in exasperation.

"You can explain." I stated softly.

His piercing gray eyes found mine, "If you're there in the crowd watching, I'd be worried whose face I'm gonna punch next for just trying to approach you." He inhaled deeply.

"I just can't leave you alone for two seconds and guys would be hovering all over you. It's irritating and distracting at the same time." He explained tensely, as if he wants to punch someone.

I digested what he just explained to me, and I never felt so ecstatic. Does that mean he likes me? He's jealous of the other guys who approach me? I couldn't breathe properly.

"Oh." That's all I muttered, not knowing how to react to his revelation.
