Chapter Forty Seven : Is This The End...

Trouble never comes alone..

"Navya...I am really scared...I don't know why..but mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki kuch toh galat hone wala hai.."Nandini hugged Navya.

"Nandu.."Navya hugged her back "tujhe Manik pe yakin hai na...toh kyu aise soch rahi hai.."

"Of course hai Navya..."Nandini broke the hug and looking straight into the eyes of Navya she said "Manik pe mujhe apni jaan se bhi zyada bharosa hai..par woh.."Nandini looked down without completing the sentence.

"Par woh kya Nandu.."Navya placed one of her hand below her chin and pulled it up a little so that Nandini would look straight into her eyes "bolo Nandu..woh kya.."

"Navya..woh.."but unfortunately before she could finish her sentence Kishori and Shanno walked in.

"Nandu.."Kishori's adulation shook Nandini too the core. In fact it tossed Nandini into the pool of guilt which almost chocked her.

She didn't comprehend anything for the next few seconds as she was too lost but soon she felt her grandmother's hand on her shoulder which broke her reverie.

"Kanna..i am really proud of you...we feel extremely blessed to have a daughter like you in our family.."Kishori caressed her face."you make us so proud.."Kishori cupped her face and pecked her forehead.

Nandini moved her face just a little so that she could see her Amms's face which was glowing out of happiness..which was more than enough to make Nandini loose her voice.

"Hamari Nandu kitni sundar lag rahi..hai na Amma..kisi ki nazar na lagey meri bachchi ko.."Shanno put her famous kala tikka right below Nandini's ears.

"You are right Shanno..dekho toh pata hi nai chala kab hamari Nandu itni badi ho gai..aur sirf badi hi kyu..aaj tak Nandu ne aisa kuch bhi nai kiya jissey hamara sir sharam se neeche jhuk jae..balki meri kanna ne toh hamesha hamara sir garv se ucha uthae rakha..isiliye toh I always say ki Nandini mera gurur hai.."Nandini's head snapped up the moment these words came out of Kishori's mouth.

She couldn't take it anymore. She just hugged her and started crying her eyes out...which was more than enough to send the rest of three of them into panic mode...of course for different reasons.

Shanno and Kishori were worried as they didn't knew the reason behind Nandini's such outbreak of tears...however Navya was worried as she knew exactly why Nandini broke down...that really scared her as she was worried that Nandini might end up revealing everything to Shanno and Kishori.

But to Navya's relief Nandini somehow managed to get a grip over her emotions.
She broke the hug and looked down while wiping away her tears.

"Nandu..tu thik to hai na beta.."Shanno asked worriedly.

"Haa chachi mai bulkul thik hu..bas yuh hi achanak se rona aa gaya.."Nandini continued to look down.

"Hota hai aisa Kanna....har ek ladki jo dulhan banane wali hoti hai they all go through the same experience my dear..so it's absolutely common..naya ghar..naye log..naye rishtey...nai zimmedarian..uske bare me sochkar dar bhi lagta hai aur kabhi kabhi ankhon se ansu bhi chalak jate hai.."Kishori said while wiping away Nandini's tears.
