"I think they both will be late..would you like to give me company till they arrive" Manik said in a casual tone.

"You won't mind"Nandini asked. He instantly replied "Not a bit..in fact I will be obliged if you agree to accompany me" When she didn't say anything he asked "Shall We" to which she just nodded.

Like a gentleman he led her way and pulled a chair for her and gestured her to sit. Once she sat down Manik took the opposite sit in front of her.

"Well would you like something to order"Manik asked Nandini. She just shook her head. "How about tea"Manik asked looking straight at her. "Mai..Mai chai nai peeti."Nandini replied looking anywhere but him.

"Look at me Yaar Nandini..Man she is so shy..What should I do or say so that she opens up to me..God it's going to be so much more difficult than I thought.. " Manik subconscious whined like a toddler.

Well Love is never easy Manik Malhotra..so just deal with it. Manik's heart snapped right back making his subconscious silent for once.

She could feel his gaze on her even though she kept her gaze away from him. She thought her answer might had offended him so in order to make him feel better she replied feebly "Coffee..Mujhe Filter Coffee Pasand Hai"

And as expected Manik face lit up on her reply. He was happy that at least she was responding to the convention he initiated. "Sure" Saying this Manik gestured the waiter who took the order and left from there.

"So what do you think of the weather outside"Manik said looking at her once again. But this time she frowned as she couldn't understood where this conversation was heading to.

Looking at her face Manik smiled as he knew exactly what she was thinking. So he decided to put her out of the misery"Weather is the safest topic to initiate a conversation..and since we don't know how to initiate a conversation so I thought why not to go with the cliché "

Manik's response made her smile. She shook her head in amusement.
