Chapter Sixteen: Till You Come Back Home..

"Manik are you sure..you do realise that a marriage is not just a union of two individuals but it's a union of two families. Are you 100% sure or do you want some time to rethink your decision." Nyonika asked as she was in a state of shock because of Manik's declaration.

"We don't want you to take any decision in haste,there is no rush ,you can as much time as you want to be 100% sure, then only then you can let us know what your decision is..and we will accept it wholeheartedly no matter what."Siddhanth said while he kept his left hand on MANIK'S shoulders.

"Manik Malhotra does not make decisions in haste Sir. I am 100% sure and I know what I am saying. I don't need to waste time in rethinking as I already know WHAT I WANT "Manik replied with a smirk.

"Are you sure Manik..is this what you want"Nyonika asked as she was totally confused with Manik's reaction.

He turned to look at her and said "Yes Maa this is exactly what I want. I know what I am doing and I know what I am saying. Trust me Maa I NEED THIS"

In that moment Nyonika knew that Manik was definitely upto something. Though he was saying something else but his eyes were communicating a different story altogether. But she knew that he will not confide in her even if f she tries to talk to him so she decided to go with the flow until she finds out herself what was actually going on with him.

Manik turned his attention back to Roshani and Siddhanth and said with a smile" Mr. And Mrs. Malik I accept this matrimony proposal."

Siddhanth took him into his embrace and said "Thank you so much Manik. Thank you for everything."Manik broke the hug and looked at him "No Mr. Malik Thank You, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU BOTH HAVE DONE FOR ME "

"Pleasure is all our Manik and beta WELCOME TO THE FAMILY "saying this Roshani hugged him. Manik hugged her back and replied" THANK YOU SO MUCH MAM"

Breaking the hug Roshani said "Mam and Sir nai call us Maa-Paa because from today onwards Officially YOU ARE OUR SON"

Siddhanth looked at Raj and Nyonika and said "Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra if you need some time to reconsider this decision we understand. We will wait . After all this is your son's life and you have full right over is matter."

"If Manik had agreed to this there is no question for us not to accept this decision. Whatever makes my son happy makes us happy.Mr. and Mrs. Malik we will be more than happy and honoured to make SUHANA a part of our family." Raj said while he walked next to Manik and patted his shoulder.

"Mrs. Malhotra do you have any doubts regarding this" Roshani asked Nyonika as she can clearly see that Nyonika wasn't that happy as Raj,Dadi and Manik were. Loads of confusion and worry was clearly visible on her face.

"Of course not Mrs. Malik like Raj said that we will be honoured to have SUHANA as a part of our family. It's just that everything is happening at such a quick pace that it just got a little too much for me too handle. But that doesn't mean I am not happy or excited. Why wouldn't I be ..after all my son is about to get married..a mother always dreams about this day..I hope that I haven't offended you all. If I have I apologise it was totally unintentional."Nyonika replied joining her hands.

"No need to apologise Mrs. Malhotra. I completely understand what you are going through. I can totally feel what you are feeling right now. I am a mother myself and I am very sure that whenever this day comes into the lives of any mother they always get overwhelmed like this only. It's natural."Saying this Roshani hugged Nyonika .

"So I guess CONGRATULATIONS are in order " Raj smirked. " Of course Mr. Malhotra that goes without saying. After all we are going to become a family soon" Siddhanth and Raj smiled before they hugged each other too.

"Iss baat par to muh meetha to hona hi chahiye" Dadi chirped. "Bilkul Maji ye bhi koi Bolne ki baat hai" Roshani knelt in front of Dadi and then she picked up a sweet from the plate which was kept on the table .Roshani fed Dadi a piece and then took Dadi into her embraced.

The entire Malhotra Mansion was ecstatic. Why shouldn't they be. After all finally that day had arrived when the prince of this family was going to bring a princess for them.

All of them got too busy in discussing the details of the preparations of the wedding which gave Manik the ultimate opportunity to escape from their . So taking the advantage of the first chance he got he swiftly left from there and got back into his room and locked the door from inside.

He walked towards the window of his room and pushed it wide open letting the the breeze touch his face which finally managed to calm him down. Then he looked at his hand which was fully dressed and then he closed his eyes.

The moment he did that all he could see was her,

and taking a deep breath he sighed . Only one word came out of his mouth which had become not only his ultimate solace but also his whole world --NANDINI.

"I PROMISE I WON'T LET THIS DIE NANDINI..I PROMISE .."
