*Picture of Lilith's eyes when her beast comes forward*

*And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul*

I watch Emma dance around the room, throwing on a light blue knee high dress with little flowers printed all over it, she matches it with cream colored flats and a little light pink pearl necklace.

She turns to me, eyes asking for my opinion and it's the same as always. "You look great Emma, always always." She beams and skips to her vanity to apply some blush and other crap. I have never been into fashion or make-up, nor will I ever be. That's what I have Emma for. "While you go down for your birthday breakfast, Imma take my morning run. Kay?" Even though it's supposed to be our birthday, Emma and Anna Marie are the only ones who acknowledge it being mine as well.

The Luna doesn't even count really, I haven't received anything from her other than a quick hug and her telling me happy birthday along with thanking me each year for watching out for her daughter. Emma on the other hand has always gotten more presents she could ever ask for, not that I'm unhappy for her. She deserves everything she gets, it used to hurt me but it no longer fazes me now. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing..

"Are you sure you don't want to come eat with us?" I glance at her sideways as I pull on a pair of running shorts. "They wouldn't dare say anything Lilith." That one earned her a eye roll. "Fine, fine, fine." She huffs and opens the bedroom door, I catch the sad look on her face and sigh. She has always hated the way everyone treats me but there is nothing she can do about it. I think that's what bothers her the most.

"Bring me back something tasty, and try not to eat too much or it will go to your hips." She fakes a gasp and glares at me trying not to smile. Sticking her tongue out like a four year old, she skips off to her parents and friends waiting for her with spirits renewed.

Finally alone, I lay back on the bed and close my eyes. I listen as she takes the stairs two at a time and rounds the corner into the kitchen where a group of happy birthday's and surprises fill the air. Waiting a few more minutes till everyone is preoccupied with the party, I slip out of the room and make my way to the front door. Carefully avoiding the boards that creak, I silently sneak out of the house and sprint for the woods. The familiar scents filling my lungs as I break past the first line of trees. I don't stop though. Picking up the pace, I doge and weave my way though the dense brush till I find the clearing I'm looking for. Slowing to a jog, I pay attention to the way the dirt feels between my toes. The way the wind blows my hair softly, the way the leaves feel as they brush against my cool skin. I can feel the forest around me. It welcomes me. Emma always says her home is her pack but this feels like home to me.

My nose picks up the trail of a small animal and my beast rises to the surface, hungry as always. Turning my head towards the smell, I begin to stalk my prey. Giving her a little freedom, I feel her try to burst forward but manage to rein her in enough to keep myself from slipping back into my mind even though I know my eyes have changed and fingers have shifted into black claws.

It doesn't take me long to find the rabbit happily munching on its patch of clovers completely unaware of the threat looming behind it. I used to hate killing animals but I soon learned that if she didn't feed then I could easily lose control and I didn't want that. No one wanted that.

Swiftly leaping from my hiding spot, I jab my claws into the back of its neck, quickly killing it. While I now have no problem with killing my prey, I still don't want it to suffer a painful death.
