The teams loaded up their vehicles and were on their way to San Francisco. Cole and Wyatt riding with Pamela and Billie in case the other hunters got any ideas. Prue decided to ride with Present Dean. Bianca joined them as did Lily. Both of them fell asleep in the backseat of Present Dean's car about 2 hours into the drive.

"That about covers my life story," Present Dean says to the drowsy Prue.

"...I thought my life was rough, but you've had to deal with this since you were four," Prue says bewildered.

"Yep," Dean answers like it's no big deal.

"How could you possibly deal with that sort of burden?" Prue asks him.

A sullen look takes over Dean's face and he sighs. "I haven't. I've tried, but never truly conquered the burden. The only thing that keeps me going really is that people get to live another day because of me. That and my brother Sam. Guess that's why future me is such a jerk. A lot of people are dead and that includes Sam."

He doesn't know about Sam, Prue thinks, but keeps it to herself. In truth she was at a loss for words. Her life as a Charmed One and a Superwitch...was nothing compared to this. She at least had her family to help her through it all. Not to forget the kick ass powers, but Dean... "Such a lonely life."

"You get used to it after a while," Present Dean sighs. Prue wants to say something, but can't think of the words and only yawns. "You should get some sleep Prue. I'm used to driving long distances on my own. I need to think anyway," Dean tells her. Another long yawn leaves Prue and her eye lids shut; lying her head back into the soft seat and slipping off into a much needed slumber. "Rest easy, Prue," he says; brushing a little hair out of her face.

"And so the pawns all steadily arrive," Barbas says still in Prue's form. "What is it that you plan to do with them once they arrive?" He asks Ava.

"That's for me to know...just what are you really? You aren't like anything I've ever seen and I've seen a lot in my time downstairs."

"Everything has an opposite in life child. Even God though people to this day associate that with Lucifer. They forget Lucifer followed God at one time. But me. I'm above any demon. Above anything that calls itself evil. The purest concentration."

"All the good it will do you when you can't harm people."

"I'm a follower of myself. I shouldn't have to dirty my hands for other people and get myself killed, when I can get what I want done and who I want killed. Like you."

"We're nothing alike, but I suppose you're right. I do follow myself and not anyone else. Kind of ironic isn't it?"

"Funny how whenever someone says that they do follow someone that they greatly fear. That's probably why you're on this little scavenger hunt of yours. To go beyond what you are. Little fool. You think Lucifer will let you get that far?"

"Shut up. I came down here to taunt you. Not the other way around," Ava says not making eye contact with Barbas.

"Taunting is kind of my thing, you dirty girl. The mind is a lot harder to heal than the body. But I suggest you get topside before you miss all the fun."

Ava scoffs at Barbas and turns her back on him. She runs for the stairs leading from the Nexus back to the Manor.*

"Nice talking with you!" Barbas calls out to her.
