Well, I'm back to traveling with JB and his girlfriend Vanessa. The thing with Jess didn't last long. I shouldn't have trusted him so easily.

I'm thinking about flying back home.

I'm tired of seeing Jess around and I'm gonna go crazy if I have to listen to JB's girlfriend for much longer.

"Mackenzie, can you leave the trailer?" Vanessa asked.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I want to spend time with my boyfriend." She says and rolls her eyes at me.
"You're a bitch." I say before walking out of the trailer and slamming the door behind me.

I sit down on the tailgate of the truck and cry. Things have went terribly wrong lately and I just want to go home.

"Are you okay, Kenzie!"

I turn around to see Jess behind me.

"Go away. I can't deal with you right now." I said and looked away.
"Kenz, did JB do something?" He asked.
"It's just his snotty girlfriend." I answered and wiped tears from my eyes.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Jess asked as he sat beside me.
"Not with you." I snapped.
"I'm really sorry about all of that stuff. I shouldn't have done that." He apologizes.
"Jess, sorry doesn't fix what you did. I thought you liked me." I sobbed.
"I do like you, Kenz. I promise that I no longer have any connection with her." Jess said.

I didn't say anything.

"Can we at least try to be friends?" He asked pleadingly.
"Jess, I can't be just friends with you." I said.
"We can start by being friends, then we'll see if we want to take things further." Jess said.
"I'm okay with that." I said and smiled.
"Come here." He said and held his arms open.

We hugged and I cried on his shoulder. So much has happened since I first met Jess, but I'm glad that we are going to try to work things out.

Hopefully, Jess and I can be more than friends.

Soon, Jess leaves to go get ready to ride. After he leaves, JB comes out of the trailer.

"Why'd you call Vanessa a bitch?" He asked.
"Because she was being one. I'm tired of her bossing me around." I said and clenched my fists.

JB grabbed my wrist.

"You will treat her with respect." He said.
"You have to get respect to give respect." I spat.
"Mackenzie Mae Mauney, you will not talk to me this way." JB said before pulling me into the trailer.

He ordered Vanessa to go outside. As soon as the door shut, JB slapped me across the face. I didn't cry. He can't see that he hurt me

"If you ever talk to me that way again, your punishment will be worse than just one slap." He said before leaving the trailer.

When the door closed, I laid down and cried. Why would my own brother treat me this way? Why would he choose his girlfriend over me?? Why'd he slap me??? So many whys went through my head.

After i stopped crying, I began to put all my stuff in my bags and suitcases. I left the trailer and packed my stuff to Jess's. I decided that I'd wait outside his trailer until he's comes back after his ride. Then, I'll ask if I can travel with him.

Yes, I know it's soon after everything that happened but I want to believe that Jess is sorry. Plus, there's no way that I'm traveling with JB and I have no money for a plane ticket home.

Now, I just wait until Jess gets back.

I hope he doesn't say no...
