"Lets go Mac." JB yelled from downstairs.

I grabbed my suitcases and walked down the stairs. I left the house and put my suitcases in the camper that's hitched to our truck. I went back inside and grabbed my backpack that had my wallet, phone, iPad, and chargers in it.
I went back outside and got in the passenger side of the truck.

"Off to Texas!" JB cheered.

The whole way to Texas, we sang to old songs and talked about things.
When we pulled into the rodeo grounds, JB found a place to park.

"Is your barrel racer gonna be here." I teased.
"She won't be here because this is just for bull riders." He answered.

We got out of the truck and stretched our legs.

"Will you go get food while I register?" JB asked.
"Yes." I answered as he handed me money.

I went to the concession stand and stood behind some younger guy. As he turned around, he collided into me. He was a very nice looking guy.

"I'm sorry." He said quickly before walking away.

I bought two hamburgers and two sodas for JB and I. I walked back to the camper and walked inside. JB was on the phone, talking to someone. Soon, he hung up, and I handed him the food and extra money.

"Thanks sis." He said before biting into his burger.

Later that night, there was a bonfire for contestants and their guests. JB and I decided to go. He introduced me to several guys, but there was one guy I was particularly looking for.... the guy I ran into earlier.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see... the handsome guy from the concession stand.

"Hi, I didn't have time to introduce myself earlier. I'm Jess Lockwood." He said and shook my hand.
"Hi, Jess! I'm Mackenzie Mauney." I said and smiled.
"Do you want to go somewhere quieter to talk?" Jess asked nervously.
"Sure." I answered.

We walked over to the arena and leaned against the railing.

"Mackenzie, are you JB's sister?" Jess asked.
"Yes. I'm 10 years younger than him." I answered.
"So, that'd make you 20?" He questioned.
"19 actually. I haven't turned 20 yet." I said and smiled.
"You have a cute smile." Jess said and smiled.
"So do you." I said and blushed.
"We should get back to the bonfire. They're doing a introduction ceremony soon." Jess said and touched my forearm lightly.

We walked back and stood beside JB.

"Hey, Lockwood." JB said and shook Jess's hand.
"Howdy, Mauney." Jess said and flashed a smile.

Damn, his smile almost makes me melt.

A couple hours later, the bonfire ends and Jess walks me to my camper. He hugs me quickly before leaving. I go into the camper and fall asleep within 20 minutes.
