After Cody tells me he loves me too I can't put into words how I feel. I feel as if my brain has turned to mush because I'm incapable of thinking properly. I guess Cody is feeling pretty similar to me because we just stand looking at each other with goofy smiles. We stand looking at each other for while until I notice something. Out of the corner of my eye I see something that makes me bury my face in Cody's neck.

"What?" he asks with a chuckle.

"Your entire family's watching us you know?" I say.

I look up again to see Camille grinning like the Cheshire cat. I'm not even going to describe the look on Laura's face and luckily for me Cody's dad is still at work. When Camille notices me staring she gives me a thumb's up causing me to hide my face again.

"So what? At least now we don't have any awkward explaining to do." he says with a grin.

"It's kind of embarrassing don't you think."

"They're just gonna have to get used to it," he tells me before titling my chin upwards and kissing me again.

"Cody!" I exclaim but he just continues placing soft kisses on my lips causing me to giggle.

"What now?"

"I'm pretty sure your mom is holding some sort of recording device. I really wouldn't put it past her."

"So? We can play the video at your 18th birthday party or something. And I'm sure your mom would love to see it!"

"You're right about that. Come on, let's just go inside and get this over with," I say before gently pulling away from him.

Cody lets out a long sigh, muttering something under his breath that sounds something like people getting in the way, before following but at the last minute he pulls me back for one last kiss.

"Okay, now we can go," he tells me with a grin.

How he expects me to walk after kissing me like that is a mystery.

As we turn towards Laura and Camille I notice that they're smiling like pedophiles and it's really not a pretty sight so before we can go any further I stop dead causing us both to almost fall over.

"What?" Cody asks, looking amused.

"On second thought, why don't we just stay out here and talk?" I rush out and he laughs before leading us away from the door.

"Yeah...talking's good."

Behind me I hear Camille let out a screech of some sorts and Laura just laughs. I don't even notice where we're going until Cody lets go of my hand. We've stopped in front of this big tree in his yard.

Oh dear.

Of all places he chooses a tree.

"Come on. I know you're not very uh...happy with climbing trees but at least my mom and Camille won't see us up there," he says stifling his laughter.

"Just because I fell out of a tree like one time does not mean I can't climb them."

"It was more than once. Try about 10 times."

"Pfffffft."

"Fine you won't fall. You're the best tree climber I know."

"I thought so," I tell him before pulling off my shoes and I start gracefully (not) making my way up to what looks like a branch big enough for us both to sit on.

Once again Cody lets out a chuckle but follows me up. Once we're both successfully sitting Cody puts one of his arms around my waist and pulls me toward him.
