"Hey Hailey," I answer when my phone rings after lunch.

"Don't hey Hailey me. I waited patiently for a phone call about the double date and it never happened so spill!" she orders.

"Cody and I may have gotten into a food fight," I say slowly.

"You did what?"

"We got into a food fight and were asked to leave the restaurant."

"I told you this double date was a bad idea."

"In a way it was but it also wasn't because afterwards Cody and I had a good laugh about it and even had our usual movie night yesterday. It just got really awkward."

"Why?"

"Well I may have stared at him through most of it," I say softly but Hailey hears me and bursts out laughing.

"Oh this is priceless."

"Shut up. This is all your fault."

"Honey, don't get mad at me for pointing out the obvious."

"Funny."

"Tell me more about the date though."

"Cody and I ended up matching almost perfectly," I tell her and once again she bursts out laughing.

"Do I have permission to write a book about you guys?"

"I'm just going to ignore that. Anyway we arrive at the restaurant and behave like our normal selves."

"Oh dear...I bet Tyler and Lauren were so jealous."

"Why would they be jealous?"

"Because you guys act like a couple most of the time."

"We do not!"

"You guys do! You go around sharing food and ordering for each other," she says and I don't say a word. "You did exactly that didn't you?" she asks.

"Uh..."

"You two are absolutely hopeless. Now tell me, how did this food fight happen?"

"Well Cody started feeding Lauren his food and it got so annoying so I started feeding Tyler my food too and I had spaghetti so it turned out more romantic. But I guess I leaned over a bit too far because I ended up spilling my water on Cody then he poured his water over my head and before I knew it we were in the middle of a food fight," I explain and Hailey silent for a long time. I guess this wasn't very fun-

She breaks me from my thoughts when she bursts out laughing. I guess I spoke too soon.

"Okay I am going to write a book whether you give me permission to or not."

"It's not that funny."

"Oh come on. You told me that even you and Cody ended up laughing about it afterwards. So don't lie to me and say it's not hilarious."

She's got me there.

"Okay fine. Laugh all you want," I say and she actually does just that for about 5 minutes straight before she eventually calms down. "You're absolutely ridiculous."

"That's rich coming from you. So what happened afterwards?"

"My dad picked us up and we ended up talking about what happened and everything is all good at the moment."

"I bet Lauren was pissed."

"After her dad came over to personally kick us out she shouted at me and Cody actually stuck up for me. I swear it was funnier than the food fight."
