I clench my fist and smash my glass against the wall. I take deep breaths and tried again

"The number you're trying to reach--"

"Fuck!"I yelled, tugging on my hair

My phone ringed and i quickly picked it up

"Shawn"Jess's voice said and i furrowed my eyebrows

"Why are you calling me? What happened?"I asked

"Y-y/n"

"She's in an accident. A drunk driver hit her"She added and my chest tighten

"Wh-where is she?"I asked quietly

"Stanford's. They're taking her there right now"She said

"I'll meet you there"I said

"But you're--"

"I said i'll meet you there"

"Jess, where is she?"I asked once i saw her

"She's in surgery"She said weakly and i rolled my fist into a tight ball to keep me calm

"Why? Did they hurt her that bad?"I asked

"I-i don't know. It was all bloody when i got there i can't really see what happened to her"She said

"She can't be dead"I said quietly

"This is all my fault. I shouldn't yelled at her"I said rubbing my face

"It's not your f--"

"This time, it is! If i didn't yell at her for what i did and accused her for what that bitch did, this wouldn't happened!"I snapped and she stayed quiet

"Okay, just please calm down. She'll be out soon"She said quietly and i sit down at the waiting chair. After a few hours, a doctor called out her name

"Is she okay?"I asked

"Yes, she is"The doctor said and i sigh in relief

"But, you still need to be careful around her. She's very fragile right now"The doctor said

"Did she broke any bones or?"Jess asked

"She broke her left arm, cuts and bruises here and there but she should be fine in a few months. She still needs to wear a cast for 3 months"The doctor said and guilt instantly rushed through me

"You can see her, but one person at a time"The doctor said and we thank her before she left

"You can go first, if you want?"Jess said

"I still have to ask someone to stay with her tonight"She said

"I can do it, you go see her first"I said

"But didn't you have an interview tomorrow?"She asked

"I can reschedule. They'll understand"I said and she nod

"Thank you so much for doing this, i owe you"

"I'll see you tomorrow"Jess said and i nod before walking inside the room. I look at her body and shivers went up my spine

I grab a chair and put it beside her bed. I stayed silent and take a few breaths before speaking

"I'm sorry"I finally said

"If i didn't yell at you and accused you for the things she did this will never happened"I said

"Please don't leave"I said quietly

"I can't live with you hating me. I-i can't live with that"I continued

"I'm sorry i did this to you. I'm so, fucking sorry"I whispered grabbing her hands gently

"I hope you'll feel better soon"

I flutter my eyes open and blink a few times. I hear the Phineas and Ferb theme song and a hand was gently playing with my hair

"Morning"She said and i lift my head

"Morning, are you okay? Do you want some food? Drink?"I asked clearing my throat

"Yes, i'm fine just a little bit rusty, not really, a nurse gave me some foods and drink before"She said and i nod

"Okay, i'll uh call Jess is you want?"I said

"No, it's okay. She called me a few minutes ago"She said and i nod

"Do you want me to leave?"I blurt

"No, stay"She said and i nod

"Sorry for falling asleep there"I said pointing to the spot where i slept before

"It's okay"She said and i nod. It was silent between us, the sound of the tv is the only thing that is keeping us from having an awkward silent

"I'm sorry"I blurt out again

"If i didn't yell at you and accused you for what she did last night, this won't happened to you"I added

"It's okay, it's not your fault. I wasn't watching the road"She said

"I was so scared last night when Jess called me. I'm afraid that i have to live with you hating on me"I said

"And i'm so, fucking sorry for what i said to you last night. I--"

"Shawn, it's okay. I forgive you"She said

"I'll pay for your hospital bills and i've return your money back to you"I said

"Please tell me what to do just to make you not hate me"I plead

"Didn't i just said that i forgive you?"She asked

"I know, but that's my whole apologies for you"I said

"I'll do anything"I added and she smiled

"Once i'm better and out of cast, promise me to give me a piggyback ride and buy me ice cream"She said

"Done"I said smiling

"Well, can you buy me waffles with ice cream? Vanilla please"She said

"Of course you would say that. I saw that coming"I said

"No you don't. Shut up"
