Unexpected Love (Completed)

1 Week Later, Sneaking, Caught, Talking to Minerva, Dragons, Romania

*Hermione's POV*

It's been a week since Charlie and I got together and since then things have been great, difficult but great. Since we've gotten together we've agreed to keep things secret. We don't need our students finding out and using it against us. I sighed, getting out of bed, laying out my clothes for the day before taking a shower, washing my hair and getting out. I used my wand to blow dry my hair before doing my make-up keeping it at my usual black eyeliner and mascara. I put on some chapstick before walking back to my bedroom pulling on my dark wash jeans, with a dark gray tank top, I pulled on a see through long sleeve cardigan. I looked in the mirror with a sigh before pulling on my black ankle boots and finishing with a long chain necklace. I laced my sheath through the belt loops of my jeans before slipping my wand in and locking it in place. I walked out of my chambers and down to the great hall, I took my seat next to Charlie and he smirked at me. I shook my head and he leaned in making it look like he was telling me a secret when he kissed my neck instead. I looked at him with a blush slowly rising to my face as I shook my head at him leaning in and whispering.

"You should learn to be a bit more discreet, the last thing we need is for someone to see."

"What if I told you I don't care anymore?"

I looked at him and shook my head.

"We can't risk this, I won't, we need to keep things secret."

He shook his head and sat back in his chair, I stood up and walked out of the room. I was in my classroom when I heard a knock on the door frame. I looked up to see Charlie standing there, he walked towards me, in a pair of dark wash jeans, with a white and bluish gray t-shirt, a leather jacket and his usual black steel toe boots. I sighed shaking my head going back to sorting my papers, I looked up as he stopping infront of my desk.

"We can't be seen Charlie, we could both lose everything."

"We won't lose eachother though, I'd rather have you and be with you then have a job here."

I sighed, shaking my head.

"I understand that Charlie, but this job is all I've ever wanted. When I went with you to Romania it was to get away for awhile. I never expected to fall in love, yet I did, however my plan was always to come back here and take over as Transfiguration Professor. I love my job, and my life here Charlie, I don't want to risk losing it when I just got it, I love you, but I love my job too."

He sighed walking towards me wrapping his arms around my waist leaning his forehead against mine.

"I love you, ya know that?"

I nodded my head against his and he leaned in connecting his lips to mine, I sighed against him melting into him. I knew that it was wrong, I knew that it was bad for us to be doing this in such an open place. We were pulled apart by a knock on the door frame and someone clearing their throat, we looked over and saw Minerva standing there. She sighed and shook her head, I sighed and looked away from her, and Charlie looked down at me.

"We'll do this together Hermione."

I looked at him and let out a sigh taking his hand in mine before nodding my head, I looked at Minerva and she looked at me expectantly.

"Minerva, we can explain."

She held up her hand silencing me, before walking farther into the room. I braced myself for the big sack only instead she wrapped her arms around me hugging me close.

"I'm happy for you, although I hope that next time you come talk to me..."

We pulled away and she smiled at me

"Hermione, I would've hugged you and told how happy I was for you, however you can't keep this a secret. I wouldn't want you to, and I know that Charlie doesn't want this to be a secret any longer, all you have to do is tell the students, that's it."

I looked at her and smiled, I looked at Charlie to see him already looking at me, he pulled me into his chest and smiled at me.

"So what do you say Professor Granger, can we stop sneaking around, will you be mine?"

I smiled and nodded my head.

"Yeah, of course I will."

He smiled crashing his lips to mine, when we pulled away he leaned his forehead against mine. We looked at Minerva who smiled at us, we were pulled from our moment by a sound I haven't heard since I left Romania. I looked at Charlie and his eyes went wide, we heard screams and I knew exactly what was going on.

"Dragon, Minerva put the castle on lock down, I need two brooms, Charlie and I need to get in the air."

She nodded her head and I ran out to the hall and aciod two brooms, Charlie grabbed one and I was the first in the air. We looked around until we saw the Dragon in the court yard with about twenty students cornered. I sighed pulling out my wand and shot sparks at it's tail, getting it's attention away from the kids. They ran into the building and the Dragon followed me around, I saw Charlie came up next to me, he sighed.

"It's a Ukrainian Ironbelly, I got a letter from Chance said one escaped, follow my lead!"

I nodded my head and we led the Ironbelly through the forest and to one of the cages left behind from the Triwizard tournament in my fourth year. We flew right through the cage, I closed the back door and Charlie flew around to the front and quickly closed it. I sighed and looked at Charlie shaking my head, I flew over to him and he looked at me with a confused look on his face.

"We need to have a talk with Chance, this shouldn't have happened."

He nodded his head.

"We'll talk to Minerva when we get back, and set up a time for us to go to Romania and talk to him."

I nodded my head and we flew back to the castle, putting our brooms away before walking to the school and to Minerva's office. I walked in and she looked at me with a confused look on her face before standing up, and walking towards us.

"I take it everything went well with the Dragon, what's wrong?"

I sighed.

"Charlie and I need to go to Romania tomorrow, the head of the Dragon Reservation sent Charlie a letter today saying that this might happen. We need to know why this happened, how this happened, I've worked there. They keep these Dragons on a short leash there's no way this could've happened."

She nodded her head letting out a sigh.

"Alright well tomorrow is Saturday so I think that'll work as long as you're back by Monday to teach your classes I see no problem with it."

"Thanks Minerva, for everything, I know this is a lot for Charlie and I to ask of you, so thank you."

"No problem dear, I'm happy for the both of you, however with you leaving tonight when do you plan on telling the students and staff of your relationship?"

I sighed and looked at Charlie, he shook his head.

"We'll tell them Monday night, we'll teach our classes during the day then tell our students that night at dinner."

"Alright, have a safe trip, and please, take the Dragon with you."

I laughed and nodded my head, while Charlie went down to the hut, I went to my chambers packing my bag. I got ready to go to the place that started all of this Romania, and that's where things will get interesting.
