9 Months Pregnant

*Hermiones' POV*

I woke up this morning in Sirius' arms knowing that today is my nine month check-up, however that's not until after dinner tonight. I sighed rolling over waking Sirius up and getting out of bed going to the bathroom and doing my morning things. Brushing my teeth along with my I hair, I pulled my hair into a messy yet elegant bun before I grabbed my clothes. I pulled on my skinny jeans that had holes in both knees along with a gray off the shoulder sweater and matching high heeled boots. I looked into the mirror doing my usual make-up routine, a thin layer of black eyeliner, and some mascara, I put on a light layer of gray eye-shadow. I looked myself over once more before going back to the bedroom, I gave Sirius a small smile. He smiled placing his hand on my waist holding me.

"Are you ready for today?"

I smiled nodding my head.

"Yes, and I'm very excited, although I do wish that you would've agreed to let me transfigure an ultrasound machine."

"I want to be surprised."

"Yeah, and what if we end up having multiples, what then?"

He smiled, shrugging his shoulders.

"Well then we have multiples, we'll buy another crib, and wait to paint the room, what's the big deal?"

"Sirius, are you really ready for that, for twins, triplets, or even more, because I know I'm not. I know that if I have anymore than maybe two at a time, we'll be so busy, between work and them, it's just a lot."

He sighed nodding his head.

"I know, but we have enough room at the house and if we have to I can stop working as a teacher and just be an auror during the summer. You can teach during the year and I can take care of our children or child. You can see them at night and have them all day till I come home at night. We'll figure it out, no matter what it takes our kids will never be without one of us, alright?"

"Alright, if you say so, however I have to get to class."

"And I have to go talk to Minerva."

I smiled giving him a quick kiss before pulling away, I took his hand in mine and we walked out of our chambers. He walked me to class before giving me a quick kiss and going to talk to Minerva. I let out a sigh going into the room and starting today's lesson, I have three classes before lunch as well as three classes after lunch. My appointment with Poppy isn't until tonight after dinner and I couldn't be more excited. The morning sped by lunch came and went, classes soon came to an end for the day. Dinner ended and it was time for Sirius and I to go to our appointment with Poppy. Sirius and I walked up the stairs hand in hand, we entered the hospital and I smiled at Poppy, she came over as I sat on the bed.

"Good evening Dearies, how are you?"

"We're good, and you?"

"Oh, I'm fine Dearie, now let's get you checked over, are you sticking to the no gender reveal until birth?"

I sighed looking at Sirius, he nodded his head and I looked back at Poppy.

"Sadly yes, however is there a way to tell how many we're going to be having?"

"I'm sorry, but the only way to do that is to look at the gender. If you have one then the tip of the wand will glow blue or pink. However if you're having multiple the wand will glow silver or gold it just depends. The number is never truly revealed, you just get what you get, I'm sorry."

I looked at Sirius and he sighed, shaking his head.

"No, no, I don't want to know, and if I don't know I don't want you knowing either because you'll tell someone and then they'll tell me without meaning to and then I'll be pissed so no."

I sat there with a small pout on my face before letting Poppy finish the exam before she sent me on my way. She told me that the next time I see her would be when I'm giving birth to my baby, or babies. Sirius and I went to our chambers doing our night things before climbing into bed, I laid there for a moment waiting for Sirius. When he finally joined me he wrapped his arms around me before kissing my temple.

"I'm sorry for how I acted at the appointment, however I feel very strongly about this alright? I love you, and I am so excited to be a dad and the fact that I don't know what we're having makes me that much more excited."

I sighed with a small smile on my face as I looked up at him.

"I know, I get it, however not knowing is really hard for me, you know me, little Mrs. know-it-all."

"Yes, but you're my little know-it-all, I love you Hermione all of you."

"I love you too Sirius."

He gave me another kiss before pulling away, he held me close as sleep soon took us in its welcoming arms.
