When she smiles
Her cheeks rise
Eyes squinting, almost shut
Little giggles pass her lips
I can't help but smile tooFirst day of kindergarten
Her curls straightened
Eyes bright
full of fear
Shaking hands
Grabbing onto mineHands on her hips
Slightly smirking
Such sass in one setting
Holding his hand
What is love at age five? Now that smile
Slightly swollen
The dog bite across her lip
Hiding the chipped toothEven in pain she smiles
